Giorgos Kabanellis was born in 1930 in Naxos, Greece. He was an actor and director, known for The Cannon and the Nightingale (1968), Ymnon ti tafi Sou (1973) and Mia gynaika horis dropi (1965). He died on 3 January 2010 in Athens, Greece.- Iakovos Psarras was born in Naxos, Greece in 1936. He studied acting at the Greek National Theatre Drama School, where he began cooperating with numerous greek directors in a variety of roles (leading, supporting, dramatic, comic, classic and contemporary).
He made his debut in 1957 with Alekos Alexandrakis company in J.B.Priestley's "Inspector Calls" and he went on with other companies including those of Mousouri, Papa, Ellie Lambeti, Diamantopoulos, Alkeos, Minotis - Paxinou, Papamichael, Fyssoun, Kourkoulos, Xanthopoulos, Hatziskos, Konstadaras, Georgitsis, Arvaniti, Stylianopoulou, Gionakis, e.a., the company of Karolos Koon's Art Theatre and the State Theatre of Northern Greece (Kratiko Theatro Voriou Ellados) (1976-1997)
He was an instructor for the Greek National Theatre until the day he died.
His last appearance was during the summer of 2006 with the tragedy "Andromachi" of Euripides.
He died at the intensive care unit of the Thessalonica Hospital, where he underwent open heart surgery on the 17th of November, 2006. - Writer

Iakovos Kabanellis was born on 2 December 1922 in Hora, Naxos, Greece. He was a writer and director, known for The Cannon and the Nightingale (1968), Snow White and the 7 Bachelors (1960) and Stella (1955). He died on 29 March 2011 in Athens, Greece.- Manolis Glezos was a Greek left-wing politician, journalist, author, and folk hero, best known for his participation in the World War II resistance. In Greece, he is best remembered for taking down the Flag of Nazi Germany from the Acropolis during the Axis occupation of Greece, along with Lakis Santas. After the end of the Occupation, his left-wing political beliefs and activism led to him being sentenced to death thrice; his imprisonments and legal troubles were often the topic of international interest, until his permanent release in 1971. Since the restoration of democracy in 1974, he had been active as a politician, becoming a Member of the Greek Parliament for various left-wing parties over the years. In 2014, at the age of 91, he became a Member of the European Parliament for a second time in his life, for Syriza, making him the oldest-ever member of the European Parliament - he was also the most voted-for candidate in Greece. Glezos was an award-winning journalist, and worked as head-editor and editor for the left-wing newspapers Rizospastis and I Avgi, which are popular to this day; he also published six books.
