Born in Newcastle, a small city on the coast of New South Wales, Australia, model Charlee Fraser knew little of the fashion industry when she was suddenly thrust into the global fashion scene. After being scouted at the age of 18, Charlee quickly joined IMG and became a rising star in Australia, before a breakout season at the Fall/Winter 2016 shows which cemented her place as an international star.
Fraser's 'star is born' moment came when the iconic hairstylist Guido Palau chopped her long tresses into a chic bob right before she hit the Alexander Wang runway at New York Fashion Week. Charlee was immediately dubbed the "new face to know" by American Vogue and caught the eye of top casting directors. That season she walked 40 shows, including Prada, Balenciaga, Chanel, Dior, Givenchy and Céline. A proud Awabakal woman, Charlee's success doubled as a historic moment in fashion, she was the first Indigenous Australian model to work with the international fashion houses.
Charlee went on to front campaigns for Tom Ford, Céline, Stella McCartney, Givenchy, and Giorgio Armani (among many others), being photographed by the likes of Mario Sorrenti, Mert & Marcus, and Juergen Teller. Her editorial career skyrocketed both locally and abroad, including multiple covers for the Australian and international editions of Vogue and Harper's BAZAAR, and shoots for Dazed, W, Numero, T Magazine, American Vogue, and more. Charlee was only the third Indigenous model to appear on the cover of Australian Vogue in the titles' 56-year history and made history again when she starred in the title's iconic May 2022 all-Indigenous cover, alongside Elaine George, Magnolia Maymuru and Cindy Rostron.
In 2020 Charlee moved from New York City back to Australia, where she became the ambassador for First Nations Fashion + Design (FNFD), a not-for-profit organisation that aims to build an ecology of Indigenous artists and talent within the fashion industry. In December of 2020 she helped lead and produce the 'Walking in Two Worlds' program, in which she mentored up-and-coming Indigenous models from community, and in 2022 she accepted a role on FNFD's board of directors. Charlee also founded the sustainability campaign NOT JUST TRENDING, unveiling the project at Australian Fashion Week in 2021. Defined by her passion for ethically sourced and produced fashion and beauty, Charlee parlayed the success of NOT JUST TRENDING into a much-downloaded sustainability guide.
In 2023, Charlee turned her eye toward acting for the first time, quickly winning significant roles in two major film productions. The first, a Warner Brothers action film, due for release on 23 May 2024, titled Furiorsa. The second, a romantic comedy 'Anyone But You'distributed by Sony which was released in cinemas 26 December 2023.
Charlee is also co-founder of Clearly Music, Arts & Wellness Festival, a unique annual event focusing on wellness, community, and inclusion held in Kiama, New South Wales. Charlee's focus will be strategizing and implementing sustainable practices within the festival, overseeing every element of the event's planning to push all sectors to adopt the most sustainable options available. The inaugural Clearly Festival will be held on Saturday November 11th 2023, and will feature acts including Xavier Rudd, Skegss, and Gretta Ray. Spanning two days, Clearly will deliver a range of opportunities for the next generation of creatives and artists.
With a singular look, a passion for advocating for her community, and a creative energy that spans from fashion to film, Charlee is a unique force in both Australia and internationally. Her star will only continue to rise.- Actor

Paul W.S. Anderson gained a fair bit of notoriety in his native England when he directed the ultra-violent Shopping (1994) (which he also wrote), starring Jude Law and Sean Pertwee in a story about thieves who steal by ramming a car into storefronts. The film was banned in some cinemas in England, and became a direct-to-video slightly edited release in the United States.
Shopping (1994) allowed Anderson to get the chance to direct Mortal Kombat (1995), an adaptation of the hit video game, which showcased his directorial trademarks - visually stunning scenery and quick-cut editing. The film did well enough for him to choose his next project, which was Soldier (1998) with Warner Bros., with Kurt Russell in the lead. Unfortunately, Russell decided at the time to go on hiatus, pushing the release date of that film into 1998. In the meantime, Anderson directed Event Horizon (1997) from a script by Philip Eisner, which featured Anderson regulars Sean Pertwee and Jason Isaacs. The science fiction/horror film, a Gothic horror version of Solaris (1972), was stylish and scary, but was critically panned and did not do well in the box office, which Anderson blamed on studio-enforced cuts to the story. (Anderson has promised a Director's Cut, though none has been announced as of yet).
Soldier (1998) didn't fare well with critics and box office either, and Anderson's planned 2000 remake of Death Race 2000 (1975) was canceled. This forced him to think smaller, which led to The Sight (2000), a supernatural mystery movie that was a minor hit. He then resurfaced to direct another video game adaption, Resident Evil (2002). Long rumored among fans to be a choice comeback vehicle for zombie grandfather George A. Romero, the writing and directing credits eventually transferred to Anderson. He next was given the helm for the long-awaited film adaption of the popular Dark Horse comic book, Alien vs. Predator (2004).- Actor

Dark haired, athletic American leading man of '40s B-movies. Richard Crane was at his most successful at a time when Hollywood was somewhat denuded of its male stars, most of whom were doing wartime military service. Upon their return to the ranks, Crane's career went into decline. He did, however, have a brief resurgence in the 1950s as the square-jawed, muscular hero of several space-borne serials, notably as the titular star of Rocky Jones, Space Ranger (1954). The next fifteen years he spent guesting in TV westerns and crime dramas, frequently appearing on The Lone Ranger (1949) and Lassie (1954). His final recurring role was as a police lieutenant in Surfside 6 (1960), a detective series aimed at the teenage market. At the time of Crane's death, he was President of Film Trend Productions.- Actor

Sarah Kendall was born in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. She is known for Frayed (2019), Beehive (2008) and Dreamland (2023).- Joyce Redman was an Anglo-Irish actress. She was twice nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, without ever winning the award.
Redman was born in an Anglo-Irish family in Northumberland. The family eventually moved back to County Mayo, Ireland, where Redman was raised. She and her three sisters were educated at home by a private governess. Redman later pursued an acting education, and was trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London. She graduated from the Academy in 1936, at the age of 21.
Redman remained primarily a theatrical actress for decades, though she also appeared in television films. She performed at both the Comédie-Française in Paris and The Old Vic in London. One for her theatrical hits was playing the role of Anne Boleyn (c. 1501-1536) in the play "Anne of the Thousand Days" (1948) by Maxwell Anderson (1888-1959). In 1949, she appeared in this role in New York City, to great success. In 1955, Redman in 1955, joined the Shakespeare Memorial Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon, where she primarily appeared in Shakespearean roles.
Redman made her film debut in the spiritualism-themed drama "Spellbound" (1941), where she played an unnamed maid. Her first credited role was that of Jet van Dieren in the war film "One of Our Aircraft Is Missing" (1942). The film was an unusually realist take on the war, and has been considered a classic of British cinema.
Redman's next film appearance was the role of Mrs. Waters (a.k.a. Jenny Jones) in "Tom Jones" (1963).. In the film, Mrs. Waters has a sexual affair with protagonist (played by Albert Finney) without being aware of his background; when the story later reveals that she is the long-lost Jenny Jones, who had claimed to be Tom's biological mother when he was a foundling, the impression is given that they unknowingly committed incest, which is played for comic effect when Mrs. Waters learns after the fact who Tom is (it ultimately turns out that Tom's biological mother was actually not Jenny but another character in the story, so there was no incest after all). For this role, Redman was first nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. The award was instead won by rival actress Margaret Rutherford (1892-1972).
Redman next appeared in "Othello" (1965), an adaptation of the 1603 play by William Shakespeare. Redman played Emilia, Iago's wife and Desdemona's maidservant. In the play and its adaptations, Emilia steals Desdemona's handkerchief and hands it over to Iago. Iago then uses the stolen handkerchief to frame Desdemona for adultery. When Emilia denounces her husband's plan, Iago kills his wife in order to silence her. For this role Redman gained her second and last nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. The award was instead won by rival actress Shelley Winters (1920-2006).
Redman's following film appearance was the comedy film "Prudence and the Pill" (1968), where five couples use contraceptive pills to avoid unwanted pregnancies. Her final film role was the drama film "A Different Kind of Love" (1985), playing the lead role of Mrs. Prior. In the film, Mrs. Prior urges her son to marry, despite the fact that her son is homosexual and has an ongoing relationship with another man.
Redman played an elderly Queen Victoria (1819-1901, reigned 1837-1901) in the mini-television series "Victoria & Albert" (2001). Afterwards she retired from acting. She died in May 2012 due to pneumonia. She was 96-years-old, one of the oldest living actresses. - Writer
