Robert Burns was born to a poor farming family in the Lowlands of Scotland in 1759. During his adult years he wrote several volumes of poetry that were well received. By the time of his death he was considered the poet laureate of Scotland, and is still considered so by many to this day. Among his many poems are; Auld Lang Syne, Coming Thro the Rye, Tam O'Shanter etc.- Felice de Giardini was born on 12 April 1716 in Turin, Piedmont, Italy. Felice died on 8 June 1796 in Moscow, RSFSR, USSR [now Russia].
- Catherine II was born on 2 May 1729 in Stettin, Pomerania, Prussia [now Szczecin, Zachodniopomorskie, Poland]. She was married to Peter the Great. She died on 17 November 1796 in St. Petersburg, Russian Empire [now Russia].
