Born to well known Punch Magazine illustrator Arthur G. Watts and Phyllis Watts (nee Gordon) in 1911, Margaret married Roger Furse and became involved in the world of the theater - specializing in costume design - beginning at the end of World War Two. Furse's connection to Sir Laurence Olivier undoubtedly opened many doors. Nominated for a number of Academy Awards she was awarded Best Costume for Anne of The Thousand Days. She and Furse eventually divorced and she remarried author Stephen Watts (though maintaining the Furse last name professionally) with whom she remained until her death in 1974.- Music Department

Composer and songwriter ("I Won't Grow Up," "Mademoiselle," "Great Day in the Morning," and many more), educated at the University of Pennsylvania (where he wrote shows for the Mask & Wig Club in Philadelphia), the University of Wisconsin, and the Philadelphia Conservatory of Music (now University of the Arts, in Philadelphia). He also studied music with Tibor Serly at the Manhattan School of Music.
Charlap wrote the Broadway stage scores for "Peter Pan," "Whoop-Up," "The Conquering Hero," and the ballet "So This Is New York". Joining ASCAP in 1954, he collaborated musically with Carolyn Leigh and Bob Hilliard, and his popular-song compositions include "You, Only You," "I'm Flying," "I Gotta Crow," "I Won't Grow Up," "Wrong Joe," "Soft In the Heart," "Young Ideas," "When the Tall Man Talks," and "Love Eyes."
He died unexpectedly in 1974, at only 45 years old, survived by his ex-wife, Elizabeth, and their son Tom and daughter Anne, and his widow, Sandy Stewart, and their son Bill Charlap, and daughter Katherine.- Louis Viret was born on 14 October 1917 in Lyon, Rhône, France.
