Eva Britt Remaeus, born Feb 13 1950 in Lund, Sweden, was an actress. She studied at Lunds University 1969-72, and at State Theatre School in Malmö, 1973-74. Eva Remaeus was primarily known for the children's program "Fem myror är fler on fyra elefanter", but she also appeared in a number of films, such as "Sven Klang's Kvintett" and Bo Widerberg's police movie "Mannen på taket". She was active in the Swedish alternative theatre scene. A member of Musikteatergruppen Oktober 1972-80 and participant in "Tältprojektet " 1987. Eva Remaues devoted time and funds to build a school in Esperanza, Nicaragua. It is named after her.
She was married to actor Jan Jönson 1982-91. They had a daughter, Jovanna Remaeus Jönson, in 1982. Eva Remaeus died at 42, from a brain tumor, in Gran Canaria, Spain, Jan 23, 1993.- Gustav Hasford was born in 1947, in Russellville, Alabama. He joined the Marines right out of school in 1967 and used his experiences as a Combat Correspondent in Vietnam to write his first novel, The Short-Timers, which Stanley Kubrick turned into Full Metal Jacket (1987). Hasford's second novel, published in 1990, was a sequel to The Short-Timers titled The Phantom Blooper. It detailed Private Joker's transformation after living in a Vietnamese village. Hasford's final novel, A Gypsy Good Time, was a dialogue-rich detective story. When he died of a heart attack in 1993 he was living on the island of Ithaca in Greece.
- Loren "Bud" Good was born in Ashland, Oregon and raised in Red Bluff, California and Klamath Falls, OR. His father, Loren David Good, was a railroad man, the last hostler of steam trains for the Southern Pacific. Bud punched cows in his youth, worked for the railroad, and served in the Army Air Corps in WWII. He then began a career in newspapers and PR while also doing freelance writing for, among others, the ViewMaster company.
In 1955 he published a children's book, "Panchito", the story of a one-eyed parrot who ran a ranch in Mexico. His short story "And the Desert Shall Blossom" was published in "Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine" and later picked up by Alfred Hitchcock.
A well-read autodidact, his vocabulary was so large that he always worked the "New York Times" crossword puzzle in pen. - Terry Keegan was born on 20 October 1933 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA. Terry was a producer, known for Struck by Lightning (1979), E.A.R.T.H. Force (1990) and Top of the Hill (1980). Terry died on 29 January 1993 in Kingman, Arizona, USA.
