Feyrouz was a very famous child actress in Egypt in the 1950's. She made her silver screen debut in 1950 in the lead role of Yasmin, at the tender age of 7. A multi-talented entertainer, she starred in several films as an actress, singer, and dancer.
Feyrouz married Egyptian comedian Badreddine Gamgoum and soon retired from acting at age 16, in 1959, later raising a family. Her younger sister Nelly also achieved prominence in the Egyptian entertainment industry.
In 2001, the Cairo Film Festival honored Feyrouz with its "Lifetime Achievement Award".- Actor
