Hilary exploits Kay's devotion to Glenn by convincing her that she can save him with the lie that she and Jeremy were lovers, thus eliminating a motive for Glenn to have committed the crime. Celia throws Jack out. Harlan engages Willie Shell to investigate the disappearance of Maggie's husband Martin. Maggie's warm friendship with Celia annoys Deanna.

On a party, Hilary Adams (Simons's stepsister) sneaks out to meet her lover Jeremy Novak. She doesn't want to be his wife, 'cause she wants to marry Glenn Matthews. Harlan Adams wants Jack Warren for his own Company, but Jack doesn't want it. At the 'fly-in' Maggie Farrell introduces herself to Adm. Mallory. On the parking-place Jeremy confronts Hilary who is in Glenn's company. She pretends she doesn't know him, and the two start a fight. Celia Mallory drowns her sorrow with alcohol. She is still in love with Simon Adams. Simon is angry because he was 'grilled' for 14 hours, the Cuban has simply been released into his Embassy. That night Jeremy Novak is killed, and Glenn is the only suspect. Simon discovers that Celia is pregnant, but she doesn't want him to tell anyone.
- Celia threatens to get an abortion unless Jack ends his military career. Simon drives Celia home, and her attraction to him is reciprocated. Maggie arranges to have Glenn released into Tom's custody while Glenn awaits his court marital. Hilary is mortified to learn that she was seen talking to Jeremy prior to the murder and now must testify at Glenn's trial. Maggie enlists Tom's assistance in locating her husband Martin, who went missing in action in Vietnam over a decade ago.
- As flames begin to sweep through the mansion, Lance rescues Angela and Emma. Cassandra discovers her mother was behind the fire, as well as the one that killed her father 30 years ago. She then sells her controlling interest in Falcon Crest to Peter Stavros but is dismayed to discover this was all part of Angela's plan. However, Peter refuses to sell Falcon Crest back to Angela as planned, and insists he will only give it back to her if she marries him. Despite suffering from amnesia, Maggie agrees to renew her marriage vows with Chase. On the day, Angela pours her own brand of vitriol on the ceremony by bringing up Chase's "affair" with Connie Gianinni. Richard's would-be assassin tries again, but this time he springs a trap and captures them, revealing it to be someone he was very close to. Lance meets a singer called Apollonia.
- In the continuing battle to keep Angela off balance, Pilar placates her about the consortium, while continuing to plot with Richard. Despite the stir created by her return from Italy, Anna Cellini is delighted to be reunited with Ben, but afraid that her father will ruin everything by insisting that his only surviving grandchild and heir be brought to Italy. When Richard tells Maggie he is in New York, he is really in Chicago with Pilar for meetings with financier Malcolm Sinclair. Cookie reveals to Lance that she is pregnant with his child.

Meanwhile, a mystery man rescues Sarah after she gets into a car accident whom she decides to seek out. After getting a face lift, Carrie returns to work in a new capacity as Hillary's assistant.
- Monique has a difficult first meeting with Adam Louder, the owner of Stage 99 nightclub when she becomes attracted to him. Linda gives a warning to Eric who finally pays off his debt to his business partners and cleans up his act. But later, Eric finds some dirt on Chris that he was arrested as a suspect years ago on rape and murder charges. A favor from Monique fails to move Julie who views Monique as competition rather than a friend. Meanwhile, Hillary tries to break up David and Julie with an lucrative job offer for Julie in Europe. Sarah reacts against her better judgment to continue modeling. Also, Carrie's mental health continues to go downhill after a talk with Paul who tells her to stay away from him.
- Linda accepts a marriage proposal from Chris, but when Eric finds out, he tries to talk her out of it. While in a scuffle with Linda, Chris falls down a flight of stairs and she asks Eric for help. Meanwhile, Adam decides to start a new life by dating Monique. A new neighbor, a surfer named Craig Bodi, briefly impresses Julie, so she bets him that she can claim Adam for herself. Sarah discovers that her rescuer, Mark Warriner, may not be all that charming when she finds out that he is a priest. Cynthia begins receiving threatening phone calls and letters from an unseen psychotic admirer. Also, Carrie's tries too hard to emulate Hillary and puts the agency at risk by seducing potential new clients.
- Carrie appears to be the most affected by Hillary's hiring of Monique Duran, a new model who is the dead splitting image of Teri, who moves into the beach house, prompting the fragile Carrie to move out. Meanwhile, Linda moves in with Chris at his mansion, but she reluctantly agrees to aid Eric when he is stalked by former business partners wanting revenge. Sarah hits the bottle after Brian tells her that things cannot work between them. Hillary rejects a smitten Lt. Soto's request for a renewed relationship between them and with the murder case of Teri Spencer wrapped up, he leaves Hillary for good.

Meanwhile, Adam hires Eric as the bartender for Stage 99 and asks Monique out on a date, while Brian has his eyes on her too. But Monique is hurt when Adam just wants her as a escort for social functions only. Sarah's downward spiral continues with increased drinking which lands her in jail for being drunk and disorderly. Linda gets an business offer from Chris's father to become spokes model for his company. Also, Carrie visits a plastic surgeon to ask about a face lift.
