- Katniss Everdeen voluntarily takes her younger sister's place in the Hunger Games: a televised competition in which two teenagers from each of the twelve Districts of Panem are chosen at random to fight to the death.

After their parents leave, Drake issues the help of their geeky friends, Craig and Eric, to watch over the grandfather, while Drake, Josh, and Megan (who they agree to take after she threatens to tattle on them) jet off to ride the Demonator. However, nothing goes according to plan; due to Josh's emergency bathroom break and wrestling the park's mascot, they get sent to the back of the line more than once. Meanwhile, back at the house, the grandfather, who believes he is fighting in World War 2 due to pain medication, tries to hold Craig and Eric hostage.
- Sabrina, bored with her life, opens a magical can of worms which instantly transforms Sabrina's life into a dramatic soap opera. However, things don't go exactly as the teen witch originally planned, especially when she gets accused of being a thief.
- On her sixteenth birthday, Sabrina Spellman finds out that she is a witch. However, instead of helping her, it actually makes life more difficult, especially after she gets on the wrong side of head cheerleader, Libby.

To top it all off, Gabe was accidentally left home alone and has to be taken to the hospital by their reluctant neighbor, Mrs. Dabney.
- Teddy agrees to watch their mean neighbor's beloved cat, Kaboodle, and Gabe experiences his first crush; Gabe lies about his family to make it seem like he and his crush, Kit, have a lot in common. He tells her that he is an only child living with his mom after his parents' divorce, which is exactly what Kit tells Gabe. Later on, Kit visits Gabe's house and Gabe, with the help of Teddy and older brother P.J., tries to keep it a secret that his parents are together and he has three siblings. Meanwhile, Kaboodle is checked by a cat therapist, who tells Teddy to readjust Kaboodle's aura.
- On Charlie's second birthday, the whole Duncan family winds up in prison. Teddy, Gabe, and Charlie are arrested for trying to break into a Gurgles concert (Charlie's favorite television show) after Teddy failed to get tickets. P.J. is there for harassing one of the Gurgle actors repeatedly, and Amy and Bob, the parents, are there because they were in possession of a stolen mini-horse, which Bob rented for Charlie's birthday party, completely unaware that the animal was stolen.
- Teddy and her best friend Ivy want to go to a party thrown by a senior boy, but their mothers don't allow them to since they've never met the boy. Desperate for permission, they use a phone app to create a fake phone call that sounds as if Teddy's mother is giving Teddy permission to go to the party; when Ivy's mom learns that Teddy's mom, Amy, has supposedly given permission, she allows Ivy to go as well. Then they do the same thing backwards, creating a fake phone call from Ivy's mother so Teddy with be able to attend the party. However, just when it seems their scheme will actually work, Gabe, Teddy's mischief-making younger brother, informs both girls' mothers of what they did and their moms track them on GPS.
- As Bob and Amy plan to spend the weekend in a hotel suite, Teddy and PJ are throwing a party, which is put at risk when Bob and Amy cancel over an argument. Meanwhile, Gabe goes to the cotillion with Jo, where an unexpected problem arise.
- When Amy, Charlie, and Teddy travel to Chicago to visit a relative, they are mistaken for famous hip-hop dancers and have to dance on "Shake it up Chicago." Meanwhile, back home, P.J. and Gabe have a yard sale to make money off of all their useless junk and accidentally sell their neighbor a cookie jar with five-hundred dollars inside!
- The Duncan family travels to Hawaii for Bob and Amy's anniversary, and, while playing a game with Charlie, Amy steps onto sacred ground, resulting in a strange man putting a curse on the family. Amy doesn't believe it at first, but when bizarre things begin happening, such as P.J. and Gabe nearly becoming victims of a helicopter crash, Bob getting hit in the head with a golf-ball, Charlie getting lost, and Teddy having a surfing accident. Perhaps worst of all, Amy gets trapped in an elevator and has a serious allergic reaction, causing her entire body to swell up in an unflattering manner.
- Teddy is upset when she hears that she is known as G.G. (Goodie Goodie) at school and decides ditch school to get rid of it. Meanwhile, Gabe tries to get ungrounded so he can go to an amusement park.
