Ruby is walking to the house in the backwoods when Lee Goodwin opens the door and exits the house. When the camera angle changes, Goodwin again opens the door and exits the house.
Temple is lying flat in bed. She raises the upper part of her body when Trigger opens the window and, seconds later, raises it again when he starts to climb through the window.
After Trigger decides that Temple will stay at the backwoods house, Ruby can be seen sitting at the table saying something (lips moving) but no words are heard. Actually, the sound of thunder drowns out Ruby's speech, as it does several times. This was a conscious attempt to "bleep" some of her rougher language.
As Temple is giving her testimony she pauses when a voice from off-screen says "and then?" to get her to keep her story going. However, it is not the voice of the defense attorney (Stephen Benbow) who would be the only one who could speak to her at the time. Probably a late edit/dub.
