• [the fire is put out, but the forest is pretty charred] 

  Junior : Well, anyway, George, we finally put out the fire, didn't we, George?

  George : Yeah, Junior.

  [sees a smoldering cigarette and picks it up] 

  George : And leave us remember, here is the little thing that caused the whole trouble. If people would only stop and think, one little cigarette can burn down a whole forest. Anybody that would take one of these, puff on it...

  [he does so with this cigarette] 

  George : ... and then throw it away careless-like...

  [he does so] 

  George : ... ought to have the lickin' of his life.

  [Junior puts out the cigarette on the ground with his foot] 

  George : Yes, sir, he ought to have the lickin' of his life!

  Junior : [now upset and rolling up his sleeve]  Duh, okay, George, bend over!

  [Junior gives George a spanking as the cartoon irises out and ends]
