- Originally ran for 99 mins; later cut down to 87 mins
- UK video versions and the Prism DVD release featured the shorter 82 minute print. The 2009 Britfilms DVD featured the longer 92 minute version which includes additional footage of wounded passengers in the plane before the explosion and a scene where a looter meets a girl ghost on a lake.

- In October 1980, the film prior to its original theatrical release in July 1981, had a running time of about 99 minutes, which was then cut down in June 1981 to about 87 minutes, which was the month before its world premiere. The longer uncut version has been made available for DVD and Blu Ray releases in 2017 being distributed by Glass Dolls Films in Australia and Severin Films in the UK and USA.
