When Rita oils Frank's door, the position of her bag on her back changes between shots.
When the VW van with students in it approaches Rita, the side door is wide open but the back door is not. As the van pulls away, the back door is now flipped up.
When Rita first enters her shared flat, a record is playing on the turntable. The needle is extremely close to the end of the record, yet the song continues playing in the background for at least another two minutes with no sign of stopping.
In the sequence leading up to Frank telling Rita that he is an appalling teacher, the way Rita holds the mug of whiskey changes.
When Rita tells Frank that she will get her own flat, her position next to the table, and the way she holds her cigarette, change between shots.
O.U. students do not enjoy one to one tutorials with a professor.
The film is set in Liverpool but is very obviously filmed in Dublin. Some attempt at street dressing has taken place, e.g. a red 'phone box and UK car registrations. The biggest attempt is the train which has been painted in British Rail colours, complete with double arrow emblem and fake London Midland Region carriage numbers.
The whole is set in Dublin, clearly recognisable throughout. However the only telephone box seen is bright red, clearly a standard British one: phone boxes in the Irish Republic are green and cream.
