This is actually a funny little story. It is easy viewing, no lessons learned, nothing to argue about in the cab drive home. Good realistic acting, nice characters, all in all well done.

A nice little story.

As sitcom-esque as its title suggests.

Made by Lorimar, the one who cooks in the title is Suzanne Pleshette, ex-wife of Joseph Bologna; the one who doesn't is Rosanna Arquette, the lady he left his wife for (sounds like a fair swap to me). When he has to move back in with his wife for reasons that due to having seen this movie on TV so long ago I've forgotten, the two women understandably don't get along at first...
Since Lorimar moved from specializing in prime time soaps to specializing in predictable, cosy sitcoms (a trend that continued after the company was bought out by Warner Bros. and essentially became Warner Bros. Television), you can probably figure out that everything turns out fine for everyone in the end. Easy to watch, but not essential.
