Heading into Wednesday’s fifth episode of “Survivor: Winners at War,” Gold Derby readers predicted that the castaways most in danger of being voted out were Rob Mariano, Adam Klein and Parvati Shallow. These three were at the bottom of their Sele tribe following the recent eliminations of Danni Boatwright and Ethan Zohn. However, a tribe swap was on the horizon for all 15 players still in the game. Did the switcheroo help or hurt the games of Boston Rob, Adam and Parvati? And who was the sixth castaway to have their torch snuffed by Jeff Probst?

In CBS’s latest sneak peek video for Wednesday’s fifth episode of “Survivor: Winners at War,” Rob Mariano sounds off on the impending tribe swap. “This is the part of the game that I really don’t like too much,” he declares soon after host Jeff Probst tells the 15 remaining players to “drop [their] buffs.” As Boston Rob reminds viewers, he’s been on the wrong side of a tribe switch before that ended up costing him the game. It all worked out in the end, though, as he’s a winner thanks to “Survivor: Redemption Island” and is now competing for the record-high prize of $2 million.

Water parks can be a fun way to stay cool during the summer, but they don’t come without certain risks. Here’s what you need to know to safeguard your next water adventure.
Know your limits. If you don’t know how to swim or you’re not a strong swimmer, only go on rides or in pools where the water level doesn’t go over your head, or be sure to wear a life jacket. Feet first. Most parks require that you go down the slides feet first and face up to protect your head and neck. Obey the rules.

Warning (for the two of you left who haven’t watched or gone online since Sunday night): The following contains spoilers for the Season 7 premiere of The Walking Dead.

Rhett McLaughlin and Link Neal, known collectively as Rhett & Link, are Renaissance men of YouTube. They’ve entertained audiences with music videos, talk shows, so-bad-they’re-good commercials, and podcast episodes. Now, they’re adding a musical comedy album to their repertoire. It features music from their upcoming YouTube Red series Rhett & Link’s Buddy System, which will premiere on October 19th.
Buddy System will follow Rhett & Link as they hunt down a vengeful ex who has stolen their phone and used it to break into their YouTube channel. As they embark on their trip, they will frequently break into song. The Buddy System album includes seven tracks, including numbers about exercise bikes, power naps, and, fittingly, BFFs.

It’s not surprising that one of the best musically inclined docs of 2013 was pieced together by director Morgan Neville, a filmmaker who over the years has cinematically profiled the likes of Muddy Waters, Hank Williams, Brian Wilson, Ray Charles and so many others. Neville’s latest shows his vast knowledge of rock and roll mythology while highlighting his apt for storytelling economy, digging deep and moving nimbly between subjects yet rarely just glancing an anecdote. This time he’s chosen to unearth those overlooked by history, those whose voices enriched so many classic recordings with layers of youthful soul, yet went unheralded as solo artists, those who will be remembered for living just 20 Feet From Stardom. With expeditious style and an ear for the best mix of relevant tunes, Neville nods to the all important back up singers.
You may not know them by name, but you certainly know their voices.

20 Feet From Stardom has a running time of 91 minutes and is rated PG-13 for some strong language and sexual material. DVD and Blu-Ray™ special features include deleted scenes, Q&A with Darlene Love, Merry Clayton, Lisa Fischer and director Morgan Neville, and Short Film: The Buddy System. They are the voices behind the greatest rock, pop and R&B hits of all time, but no one knows their names. In this award-winning film, director Morgan Neville shines the spotlight on the untold stories of such legendary background singers as Darlene Love (known for her hit “Christmas, Baby Please Come Home”), Merry Clayton (whose voice haunts the classic 1969 track by the Rolling Stones, “Gimme Shelter”), Lisa Fischer, Claudia Lennear, Judith Hill and more. These are the triumphs and heartbreaks...

We’re breaking form this week and going alphabetical instead of preference order because of the Incredible diversity of product available for you to rent, buy, or stream over the next ten days. How does someone really compare “Sunrise” to “You’re Next”? Why bother?
If you need to know, “Closed Circuit” and “Runner Runner” aren’t really worth your time and “A.C.O.D.” and “Riddick” are flawed but everything else in here comes with varying degrees of recommendation, particularly the quiet beauty of “Sunrise” and the incredible charm of “Enough Said”. We’re also loading you up since we’ll be off next week seeing flicks in Park City at the Sundance Film Festival. There’s plenty in here to tide you over. Pick your favorites.

They say that it takes one to know one. If you're obsessed enough with horror tropes to make a movie called "30 Nights of Paranormal Activity with the Devil Inside the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo," let's assume you can be trusted to guide viewers through a terrifying movie experience.
It's a good thing they're a trusted source, because that's exactly what the "30 Nights..." crew aims to do. The film's team created a helpful infographic to help hapless viewers identify various serial killer stereotypes, and then escape them alive. Included: Advice, things to look out for when buying a home (um, bodies buried in the backyard), a typical timeline for who gets killed when (congrats, innocent girls, you're saved for last!), and more.
Check it out:
Read carefully, and remember: The buddy system is for losers.

I am a traditionalist. A sentimental sort, even. I love my cold weather, and I love my winter horror. The snowier, the better. So while my neck of the woods is finally coming out of the grip of an unseasonably tepid start to the season, awash in brown grass, dismal mud holes, and dead trees, I must take refuge in the cinematic snowstorms of yesteryear to get my winter fix. Who’s comin’ with me? Dress warm, bring an extra blanket & maybe a thermos full of hot cocoa, and don’t forget a dry change of socks… here are my top six (well, sorta) destination spots for sub-zero nights of snow-bound terror…
Iced (1988)
Ok, to be fair, this film reeks of cheap incompetency from start to finish. It’s an underwhelming stalkfest with uneven music, obnoxious puffy characters with blow-dried hair who get drunk and shriek at each other contemptibly,...

2009 saw the release of Infamous, a Playstation 3 exclusive title, and with it came early access to Uncharted 2’s newly conceived multiplayer experience – and what an experience it was. Fast forward to June 2011 and the release of Infamous 2 and early access to Uncharted 3′s latest multiplayer experience.
Uncharted 2’s first foray into the multiplayer sphere gave us a strong emphasis on competitive and co-operative action. What it had over the competition was the skilful combination of lateral and vertical movement and action. This added an extra layer of skill, strategy and tactics to proceedings. The action wasn’t confined to what you saw in front of you or that came from behind you, but what was all around you. With the release of this latest beta Naughty Dog plans to up the ante, the action and more importantly the fun. Previously access was confined to early infamous 2 owners and Playstation plus...

The "Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception" multiplayer beta launches today, and you may have a few questions as to how you gain access, how the multiplayer works, etc. Well, fear not, for the folks over at the PlayStation Blog have posted a handy frequently-asked-questions blog and an insightful video explaining the changes since "Uncharted 2: Among Thieves." I thought I would run through the mode's updates here, getting you all ready before (hopefully) jumping online tonight.
First things first: almost anyone with a PlayStation 3 can get in on the beta. Those of you with a copy of "inFamous 2" should have received a code with your game, so just enter that into the old PlayStation Xmb. More importantly, anyone with a PlayStation Plus subscription can grab the "Uncharted 3" beta, as well.

Hollywoodnews.com: Will Smith is heading back to China, though it’s not as a location scout for another “Karate Kid” film.
Instead, Smith is researching “The Buddy System,” a crime drama he will develop for Fox that follows a crime-fighting college student, according to
Variety.
Smith reportedly has recruited Chinese director Eva Jin to help collaborate on the show, which sounds like it has the potential to be the new “Alias” (for those of us out here, like me, who miss that show with a passion).
This isn’t Smith’s only foray into television. His production company is still in the process of developing an hour-long TV show that would be based on his mega-hit comedy, “Hitch.”
