Dave Grohl became a first-time author back in 2021 with Dave Grohl: The Storyteller – Tales In Life & Music, and now, the memoir is getting a deluxe paperback edition, out today (October 31st).
While the Foo Fighters frontman bared his soul in the original edition of the book, the deluxe paper edition goes even further with additional content. Now, fans are treated to an essay by Grohl on the concept of creativity, a series of writing prompts that could maybe spark your own rock hit, and an in-depth examination of four of the band’s favorite songs, and how Grohl’s relationship to those songs has changed over time.
On a lighter note, fans can also read about the first time Grohl met Paul McCartney (previously an audiobook exclusive) and his go-to playlists for whenever he’s playing chef, grill master, or chauffeur — because he is a dad, after all.

Actress Tannishtha Chatterjee, who is known for films like ‘Parched’ and ‘Angry Indian Goddesses’, and is currently awaiting the release of ‘The Storyteller’ and ‘Joram’, has shared that for her travelling in the ‘Kaali Peeli’ taxis of Mumbai was very liberating.
Mumbai’s ‘Kaali-Peeli’ taxis, which have been a symbol of the city for decades, have gone off the roads as per a mandate by the city’s transport department. This comes after the retirement of the legendary red double-decker diesel buses operated by Best which have defined Mumbai’s landscape for many years.
Recollecting her fondest memory, Tannishtha said: “When I first came to Mumbai, I used the Kaali Peeli taxi a lot as I stayed in Kemp’s corner, back in 2005. I have very fond memories of the Kaali-Peeli taxi because the experience in Mumbai was so different for me.”

Dev Anand was forever on our TV screens. My mother and aunts were huge fans. But my mother also had bundles of Filmfare magazines, and large black discs of gramophones with beautiful covers of Indian actors and actresses.
Her favourite was Dilip Kumar and a close second was Dev Anand. Dev Anand lit up the screen with his perfect groomed hair, perfectly fitted clothes and the aura he gave off of wealth and sophistication other stars of his time lacked. Dev Anand could be playing an alcoholic and he would have not a single hair out of place like in “Sharabi” (1964).
When I went to Government College University Lahore for my MPhil, my mother’s response was: “Dev Anand went to Government College.” How cool was I!
Dev Anand did his BA in English from the college – and fell in love with a classmate too, according to his autobiography, but...

Eminent filmmaker Ananth Narayan Mahadevan is in post-production on “Phule,” about the pioneers of women’s education in India.
Jyotirao Govindrao Phule and his wife Savitribai were social reformers known for their efforts against India’s endemic caste system. Phule’s first school for girls was founded in Pune, western India, in 1848. In 1873, Jyotirao Phule and his followers began the Satyashodhak Samaj (Truth-seekers’ Society) to campaign for increased rights for the underprivileged. In 1888, the honorific Mahatma (great soul), a term later used to describe Gandhi, was accorded to Phule.
“The two of them are lethal, the husband and wife, because at a time when the girl child was being refused education and just pushed into marriage, Jyotirao chose to actually educate his little wife – she was just 11 at that time, he was 17 when they got married, because it was the time of child marriage,” Mahadevan told Variety.

There were always two sides to the Jim Henson Company during Henson's lifetime. On one of them, you have the puppets they created for "Sesame Street" and "Fraggle Rock," shows that are as wholesome and earnest as their googly-eyed stars. On the other one, you have the often frightening and twisted puppets that Henson and his crew invented for "The Dark Crystal" and "Labyrinth," as well as those for even creepier fantasy movies like director Nicolas Roeg's "The Witches." The Muppets, in case you were wondering, straddled the line between the two sides.
More than 30 years after its founder's death, however, Henson's legendary Creature Shop is now working on the "Five Nights at Freddy's" movie. As anyone even remotely familiar with the premise for the original "Fnaf" video games could tell you, Blumhouse's film adaptation is a far cry from even the darkest projects Henson's company developed under his watch.

Paresh Rawal plays the titular storyteller. The film is based on a story by the late, great Bengali filmmaker Satyajit Ray and contrasts the pursuit of material wealth with that of intellectual knowledge. Hussain, co-star Tannishtha Chatterjee and Mahadevan are expected to be on hand for Q&a sessions on June 22 at BFI Southbank and on June 23 at Mac Birmingham.

Regulars on the Farscape subreddit will already know that Owen Davies has completed his epic AI Remaster Project, releasing all 88 episodes – plus the two-part Peacekeeper Wars miniseries – to YouTube in 4K.
Upscaling the existing Farscape 15th Anniversary Blu-ray footage was undertaken using the commercially available Topaz Video AI software. However, Davies – who works as a Freelance digital designer/multimedia developer – balks at referring to it as a mere “upscale.” A lot of highly technical preparation is done on the Blu-ray footage, such as sharpening the image, correcting the contrast, and retouching the color grading to take it with a breath of a full remaster.
All in all, the process has taken him four to five hours per episode and I challenge you to find fault with the results in this side-by-side comparison video:

Farscape fans may be few, but they are proud and Peacock garnered some deserved plaudits late last year when all four seasons of the show, plus The Peacekeeper Wars miniseries, arrived on the streamer.
It’s just nice to be thought about, isn’t it? It’s a sign that someone somewhere in the industry still cares about this gleefully anarchic space opera of ours.
With that in mind, it seems like a pretty good time to list exactly where you can stream Farscape in the US and UK right now, including a fair few outlets where you can get it for free.
For convenience, we’d recommend Plex where you can stream Farscape on-demand for free in HD in both the US and the UK. For the fandom, we’d recommend streaming it live on Shout! Factory TV, which is also available in both territories. Shout! Factory is the...

Indian cinema legend Amitabh Bachchan will headline Ribhu Dasgupta’s courtroom drama thriller “Section 84.”
The film is produced by Reliance Entertainment, Film Hangar and Saraswati Entertainment in association with Jio Studios.
This film will mark Bachchan and Dasgupta’s third collaboration after the critical success of Sony Entertainment Television India’s 2014 miniseries “Yudh” and 2016 film “Te3n.”
Bachchan’s last release was Sooraj Barjatya’s “Uunchai,” one of the few box office hits in a 2022 that was otherwise dull for Bollywood.
Reliance Entertainment has been active in the distribution space recently, releasing Steven Spielberg’s Oscar contender “The Fabelmans” in India, which it also coproduced, and striking a deal for the international distribution of “Faraaz,” “Bheed” and “Afwaah” with T-Series and Benaras Mediaworks.
Dasgupta said: “I feel happy, blessed and honored to collaborate with Sir [Bachchan] again. Looking forward to it.”

The Busan International Film Festival will further honor its co-founder and former programmer Kim Jiseok, who died suddenly in 2017, by expanding the existing prize in his name into a fully-fledged competitive section.

James Snyder, who has played the title character of Broadway’s recently retooled Harry Potter and the Cursed Child since the show returned from the pandemic shutdown, has been fired by producers following a complaint by co-star Diane Davis about Snyder’s conduct.
The exact nature of the conduct has not been specified. But producers Sonia Friedman Productions, Colin Callender, and Harry Potter Theatrical Productions indicate that following Davis’ initial complaint on Nov. 19, 2021, the production commissioned an independent investigation by a third party. Tom T. Hall’s songwriting was as easygoing as his own demeanor. To listen to a Hall composition — whether he was the one singing it or artists like Jeannie C. Riley and Alan Jackson — was akin to hearing a story told by a friend you bumped into on the corner.
Tom T. Hall, Country Music’s ‘Storyteller,’ Dead at 85
While many of today’s country artists like to sing about the small-town existence, Hall brought it to life in vivid color. Sometimes it made your heart ache, other times it made you smile.

"There's nothing harder to find than lost love." Gravitas Ventures has debuted an official trailer for a British comedy called The Man in the Hat, which already opened in the fall in the UK last year. Now arriving in the US this May. The Man in the Hat takes us on a journey through France in a Fiat 500 accompanied by a framed photograph of an unknown woman. He is pursued by five angry men in a Citroën Dyane... Why are they chasing him? And how can he shake them off? Only way to find out is to watch! Ciarán Hinds stars as "The Man In The Hat", joined by Stephen Dillane, Maïwenn, Sasha Hails, Muna Otaru, Brigitte Roüan, Xavier Laurent, & Claire Tran as "The Storyteller". This looks adorable! And gorgeous, all that French countryside. Oh my. I also like that this trailer is dialogue free, selling the story with all the imagery.
