- In Search of the Obelisk is the first part of the three part interactive 'show' "Secrets of the Luxor Pyramid" that played at the Luxor Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. In Search of the Obelisk is a short film in which a team of intrepid archaeologists discover an ancient pyramid in the Nevada Desert and discover massive caverns filled with advanced alien technology, which then morphs into an interactive film experience, where the characters talk to the audience in real time as the first motion control 'ride' begins.—anonymous
- Two miles beneath the surface of the earth, two archaeologists, Mac MacPherson and Carina Wolinski, make the startling discovery of the ruins of an ancient civilization. By breaking the hieroglyphic code, they find out that a mysterious crystal obelisk governs its unique, ground-breaking type of levitation technology. Their investigations happen to be closely followed by the government and the military, led by Colonel Claggert. But there is also Dr. Osiris, head of the evil futurist clan called The Enlightened Society for Global Transformation, who wants to claim the obelisk, seeking world domination. First, Osiris tries to thwart the two scientists by cutting the cables of the elevator they use to descend into the abyss. When Osiris manages to kidnap Carina and steal the obelisk, Mac comes to the rescue flying a rediscovered 'monolev' (for "single-person levitation") aircraft, dodging enemies and obstacles through a maze of underground caverns. The audience is drawn directly into their adventures by means of a synchronized motion simulator ride.—Richard
