Sex & Nudity
-
- During a conference call, the signals get crossed and a dominatrix-themed sex service ends up on the line. She mentions dominating and being dominated.
- A few characters discuss incest in the context of "Hamlet," and a character mentions Hamlet's mother "giving up the punany to Uncle Joe."
- A female character dances somewhat provocatively with her shirt tied up, showing her belly.
Violence & Gore
-
- While there is no overt violence or gore, the movie is set at a military training camp, so many characters fire and carry weapons, stab into dummies with bayonets, and shout words like "Kill!"
- A few students get into mild altercations.
- Two characters get into a verbal altercation and one, a drill instructor, threatens to hurt the other. He has to be restrained by other soldiers.
- Simulated fighting and killing during a stage production of "Henry V."
Profanity
-
- Quite a lot for a PG-13 movie, actually. One use of f*** ("Who the f*** is Lou?"), and many uses of sh** and its derivations. Many uses of a**, a**hole and similar words. Many lesser profanities (e.g. hell, damn, "Cram it up your butt, Tubby!") and some minor racial and cultural insults, especially against a character who is from the South. A few sexual terms (see "Sex & Nudity"). Some religious profanity.
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking
-
- The main character is seen lying on the couch with an open bottle of liquor next to him. He appears to have been drinking quite a lot.
- The same character appears at a bar as asks for "a Dewar's with seven aspirin back."
Frightening & Intense Scenes
-
- Probably nothing that would upset anyone.
Spoilers
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking
- A character is arrested for selling crack.
