Voice actor Scott McNeil considers Beast Wars his best and favourite show, and his roles in it (Rattrap, Dinobot, Waspinator, Silverbolt) are the ones he is most proud of.
This was the first Transformers show to win an Emmy award.
Every year, David Kaye (Megatron) sends his Holiday greetings to Transformers fans through YouTube videos, in which he reads poems or sings songs in Megatron's voice.
Megatron says "Yeesss." 166 times and "Nooo!" 54 times in the course of the show.
Characters from this show tend to perform well in various official fan polls and surveys.
- Dinobot has been given a place in the "Transformers Hall of Fame" in 2010, as the fifth most iconic Transformers character of all time. He was the only Beast-former in the Hall's initial year, with the other four icons (Optimus Prime, Megatron, Bumblebee, and Starscream) originating from The Transformers (1984). Dinobot managed to beat out other longtime fan favorites such as Soundwave, Grimlock, Shockwave and Devastator, thanks to his well-written deep personality and engaging development.
- In 2011, the Fans' Choice Award went to Waspinator.
- 2013 saw the fan-induction of Beast Megatron into the Hall (a title shared with the Generation 1 character Ultra Magnus).
- Optimus Primal was chosen into the Hall in 2016 (alongside Cosmos, another G1 character).
- Blackarachnia won out in 2018.
- Hasbro held a poll in 2017 to decide who the next official "Prime" will be. Optimus Primal won the fan vote, receiving a new toy in 2018 that combined his original season 1 form with his updated Optimal Optimus body from season 3.
