• Funnyman Adam Sandler may be reprising his serious side, seen seldomly in movies like 2002′s Punch Drunk Love. He’s in talks to join The Cobbler, an indie drama directed by Tom McCarthy (The Station Agent, The Visitor). Details are under wraps, but THR reports the film tells the tale of a shoemaker who is able to, well, step into other people’s shoes, so to speak. [THR]
• Michael Fassbender may yet get to do a Western. The Irishman, whose plans to star in the much-maligned Jane Got a Gun went up in smoke earlier this year, is set to star in Slow West.

Glee tackles girl's body issues, we look at male synchronized swimming, meet Katey Sagal's (onscreen) father, and visit with The Boys Next Door.
We weren’t the only ones chatting with people like Jane Lynch and Adam Lambert at the GLAAD Media Awards. NewNowNext also caught up with them, and they’ve got their interviews up now.
Disney announced that the release date for Brave (formerly The Bear and the Bow) is June 15, 2012. They also set the date for Monsters, Inc 2 at November 16, 2012.
The Pentagon announced the number of discharges under Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell for 2009 was 443 lives changed forever. Of course, that’s probably low, since the Pentagon doesn’t count Guard or Reserve discharges in that number. The policy has now cost 13,425 service members their livelihood.

In a communal residence in New England, four mentally handicapped men live under the supervision of an earnest, but increasingly "burned out" young social worker named Jack. The four men - Norman, Lucien, Arnold, and Barry, work, date, think and live in a world built for the rest of us. Through their story, they show us how these normal, everyday activities can become so much more cumbersome-or more fun-when performed by people with such wholly different perspective. An Off-Broadway success, this funny, touching play is marked by the compassion and understanding with which it peers into the world of its protagonists. Directed by Cyndi Debor. Tickets $15.00 each...
