The latest Instagram picture from Larsa Pippen is creating much buzz. It isn’t the first time that the Real Housewives of Miami star has drawn flak for her appearance. However, this time, she has taken things way too far.

The forty-nine-year-old Real Housewives of Miami star recently posted a photo of herself lounging on a beach lounge chair in a black string bikini on the social media platform on Wednesday.
In the photo captioned ‘Sunshine on my mind’, Larsa Pippen leans back, giving the camera a smoldering look as she sits with one knee bent and the other firmly planted in the sand. Sam Smith + + Calvin Harris on a track always leads to pure magic. On Friday, Harris and Smith released the drag race-themed video for their newest collaboration, “Desire.”
The video follows Smith (with a scar on their nose) speeding through an empty parking lot alongside another racer. The video splices clips of the high-speed races with videos of the performer singing along to the lyrics, and appearances from the UK DJ himself.
“You are my desire, oh/And just the thought of you is keeping me awake,” they sing on the electro-pop single.

Sam Smith showed their fans that they are “Kenough,” as they channeled their inner Ken from the Barbie movie.
Smith, who goes by they/them pronouns, took to social media to share a picture of themselves standing in the middle of a road, as they wore a pink bomber jacket with blue shorts and yellow Timberland boots. Even more noticeable was their beach blonde hair, very similar to Ryan Gosling’s look in Barbie.
The multi-Grammy winner was featured in the Barbie soundtrack, singing their song “Man I Am.”

Sam Smith seemed to be in a jovial mood as they were out and about the streets of New York City on Wednesday.
The Academy Award-winning singer, who uses they/them pronouns, shared a snap of themselves on Instagram, holding a cup of frozen yogurt from Culture NY, dressed in all white as they wore a white t-shirt and a white pleated skirt, a pair of white sneakers and white calf-length socks.
“Happy Sam,” they wrote in their caption.
Before the evening dessert run, Smith was spotted strolling around the city with their boyfriend, designer Christian Cowen. This isn’t the first time they have been seen together, in January, Smith was seen giving Cowen’s head a kiss.
In addition to spending time with Cowen, another possible reason for Smith’s cheerful mood could be the upcoming Barbie film, which features their song in the film’s soundtrack, “Man I Am.

Almost a month before she sets off on her North American Celebration tour, Madonna hit #1 on five Billboard charts with her new collaboration featuring the Weeknd and Playboi Carti, “Popular.”
Although the 64-year-old singer’s music career has been wildly successful for over 40 years, this is the first time the Queen of Pop has been on the Billboard pop charts in each decade.
Madonna has now had songs debut in the Billboard Top 100 in the 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, 2010s and the 2020s.
Cher is the only other artist to achieve this feat. Her songs debuted from the 1960s to the 2000s.
“Popular,” written by the Weeknd, was released on June 2 and is the second single released to accompany the singer’s new HBO drama, The Idol.
In a recent interview with Zane Low on Apple Music 1, the Weeknd called Madonna “the ultimate co-sign for this song.”

When Madonna introduced Sam Smith and Kim Petras at the Grammy Awards earlier this year, the subject of the singer’s appearance overshadowed both her message—“You are seen, you are heard, and most of all, you are appreciated”—and the symbolic significance of a legendary gay icon and activist introducing two openly queer pop stars on national TV. The sight of a 64-year-old woman’s face seemed to send more people clutching for their proverbial pearls than the “Unholy” duo’s supposedly profane performance. The march of progress is slow and, apparently, isn’t straight.
The day after the Grammys, Smith and Madonna—cheekily dubbing themselves “S&m”—met up in a studio to record the throbbing, two-and-a-half-minute house song “Vulgar.” Calling it a “song” is, perhaps, too generous, as the ballroom-inspired bitch track merely gestures toward the structure of a conventional pop song, with half-rapped verses and a...

Seemingly dropped purposefully on June 9th , Sam Smith and Madonna have shared their new single “Vulgar.” Give it a listen below.
Smith teased the song with a brief, eight-second clip on their socials that featured the title, release date, and both artists’ initials, which conveniently happen to be “S&m.” The full song, true to its name, goes all out, placing the duo’s charms in a hard-hitting pop setting with Eastern-influenced strings and fiery ad-libs from Madonna, like “Do you know how to spell my name?/ B I T C H/ Go fuck yourself/ You heard me, bitch.”
But “Vulgar” isn’t unnecessarily filthy — rather, the artists are asserting a message of empowerment, and demanding respect. In February, Madonna introduced Smith’s performance of “Unholy” with Kim Petras at the 2023 Grammy Awards, which sparked a wave of condemnation from conservative figures. “Are you ready for some controversy?” Madonna asked the Grammys crowd.

Their prior album, 1992’s Vulgar Display of Power, had gone gold, and expectations were high for what would come next. “If images don’t do anything in this culture,” I said, plunging on, “if they haven’t done anything, then why are we sitting here in the twilight of the twentieth century talking about them? And if they only do things after we have talked about them, then they aren’t doing them, we are. Therefore, if our criticism aspires to anything beyond soft-science, the efficacy of images must be the cause of criticism, and not its consequence—the subject of criticism and not its object. And this,” I concluded rather grandly, “is why I direct your attention to the language of visual affect—to the rhetoric of how things look—to the iconography of desire—in a word, to beauty!” I made a voilá gesture for punctuation, but to no avail. People were quietly filing out. —Dave Hickey, The Invisible Dragon.

There’s a current trend in critical circles that’s been taking the internet by storm in the last few weeks, creating the sort of clicks-driven feedback loop these things tend to when they catch on. The term “vulgar auteurism” is coming into vogue (you can read one very good piece on it here, and by clicking through the links in it and the articles it takes you to, can very quickly get up to speed on the topic), and honestly, this is confounding. When the trend first started making waves a few weeks back, I rolled my eyes, sighed, and hoped if I ignored it, the “new theory” would just go away. But it hasn’t, and it seems the time has come to weigh in on the subject with something that hasn’t been said yet (that I’ve seen, or at least hasn’t been said enough...

The Berlin Film Festival has unveiled more details of its Panorama section and has announced some "Special" screenings. It looks like John McTiernan, one of our favorite Vulgar Auteurs, is, um, heading to jail. Senses of Cinema has published their massive 2012 World Poll in three parts (1, 2, 3). Our own Daniel Kasman, David Phelps, Gina Telaroli and Celluloid Liberation Front (who, if the Poll were a competition, would win—hands-down) are among the participants. Finds.

The Los Angeles Film Critics Association awarded Holy Motors as the "Best Foreign-Language Film". Leos Carax wasn't present but provided them with a speech. Listen here, or read below:

Tony Scott, 1944-2012
News.
The shocking news of Tony Scott's suicide is something we're all still trying to process. I recommend visiting David Hudson's round-up, but rest assured the Notebook is and will be actively involved in commemorating the Hollywood auteur, and doing his great work justice. Coincidentally we've had a project in the works, in which Tony Scott plays no small role. For now, I'll just link this Tumblr which is acting as a lead-up/warm-up to what we'll be doing. In fact, we're open to accepting submissions at Vulgar Auteurism, especially if you've a Tony Scott image you feel like sharing. Sight & Sound unveiled their new poll earlier this month, and while the overall list is worth a look, the greater pleasure is navigating the individual top tens from all the critics who submitted a list, including our own Daniel Kasman and Ignatiy Vishnevetsky.

Kevin Smith (Clerks, Dogma) made a lucrative career in making films and whoring merchandise for the slacker, the geek, and yes, the common store clerk. But in recent years Smith and his entourage have become accessible to his fans through a variety of podcasts or “Smodcasts,” the most popular featuring with Smith with film producer and friend, Scott Mosier. Now Smith is taking the Smodcasts and relying on his loyal fanbase to turn the tube to AMC and their latest reality-tv show, Comic Book Men, produced by the people behind L.A. Ink, to shine a light on the world of running a comic book shop.
For those unaware, Smith owns a shop, Jay & Silent Bob’s Secret Stash in his hometown of Red Bank, N.J. and it is where the show is staged and the subjects are those who stand in front of and behind the counter. The...

New 'Bad Teacher' movie vulgar crazy comedy, drama & more. Columbia Pictures released their new comedy flick "Bad Teacher" into theaters this weekend. I just watched it,and thought it was great. It delivered some super funny, raunchy humor with the very hot Cameron Diaz. The movie also stars: Justin Timberlake, Lucy Punch, John Michael Higgins, Jason Segel, Phyllis Smith, Thomas Lennon, and Eric Stonestreet. In the flick, Cameron Diaz plays a selfish, very rude, gold digging teacher named Elizabeth Halsey. She quit her teaching job because she finally found a rich guy to take care of her. However, she has a rude awakening when he,all of a sudden, wants to break up with her. So,Elizabeth finds herself back at the school, doing what she appears to really hate: teaching kids. Her plan is still full-on to find a rich guy to take care of her. She...

Earlier today the 2011 Sundance Film Festival competition line-up was announced [1], and quite a few people observed [2] that the list of announced films did not include Kevin Smith's Red State. So does that mean that Smith's indie horror film didn't make it into the festival which launched his first film Clerks? Is that even possible? Some might remember that the Park City-based film festival didn't accept Smith's last foray into horror, a movie titled Vulgar about a party clown who gets gangraped (Smith produced, Bryan Johnson directed). Could Sundance have been turned off by Smith's idea to hold a public auction for his film in the theater at the conclusion of the first film festival screening [3]? Did Red State really get snubbed by Sundance? Nope... Kevin Smith's Red State will make its world premiere at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival in one of the out of competition categories. Smith confirmed...
