Kylie Jenner has been accused of cultural appropriation on Instagram. It all started when the 17-year-old showed off her new cornrows in a selfie on Saturday. "I woke up like disss," she wrote in the caption, quoting Beyoncé's "Flawless." A photo posted by King Kylie (@kyliejenner) on Jul 11, 2015 at 11:12am Pdt The post received thousands of comments from users, including actress Amandla Stenberg, aka Rue from District 11 in The Hunger Games. "@novemberskyys when u appropriate black features and culture but fail to use ur position of power to help black Americans by directing attention towards ur wigs instead of police brutality or racism #whitegirlsdoitbetter," Amandla wrote. As the Internet took notice of the comments, Kylie fired back, writing, "@amandlastenberg Mad if I don't, Mad if I do…. Go hang w Jaden or something." Hunger Games star Amandla Stenberg is speaking out about race in an incredibly eloquent YouTube video. In a clip titled "Don't Cash Crop On My Cornrows," the 16-year-old actress explains the politics of black hair, particularly the utility of cornrows in maintaining happy and healthy African-American hair. She goes on to talk about how white artists in music began adopting styles associated with black culture. "As the early 2000s turned into the 2010s, white people began to wear clothing and accessories associated with hip-hop. More and more celebrities could be seen wearing cornrows and braids and even grills," Stenberg says as images of stars like Christina Aguilera and Madonna flash across the...

New Smash show runner Josh Safran tells EW that viewers can expect fewer random musical numbers, like the bowling alley performance and the Bollywood dream sequence, though there still could be dream sequences, just ones that aren't so glaringly out of place.
Silvio Horta and Salma Hayek are teaming up again, six years after the two worked to bring Ugly Betty to ABC. According to Deadline, the two are working on Bastards, a drama about a "colorful" (and I'm guessing wealthy) Cuban-American family who learns that there's a bastard relative out there, the first revelation of many secrets within the family.
The fifth season of Leverage — currently TNT's longest-running show airing new episodes — will air its finale on Christmas Day, and with the prospect of a sixth season still uncertain, series producer Dean Devlin wrote an open...

EW has the trailer for TNT's upcoming David E. Kelley medical drama Monday Mornings, which features a scruffy Jamie Bamber in scrubs. I think that's enough to get me to check out the pilot.
NBC is developing a comedy created by and starring Kenan Thompson which could take Thompson away from Saturday Night Live.
CSI is planning an episode where the team investigates the death of a female tennis pro and has booked champs Chris Evert and Lindsay Davenport.
The Av Club takes a look at 30 Rock and notes that in just about any other year, it would have been the kind of short-lived comedy that lands on critics' lists of brilliant shows that ended too soon, like Action, Buffalo Bill or Get a Life.
Hannibal keeps adding to its guest cast. TV Line reports...

In 1999, Entertainment Weekly ran an article asking, "Is the sitcom dead?" At the time, the answer seemed simple enough: If it wasn't dead already, it was certainly dying. A fading "Friends," "Frasier," and "Everyone Loves Raymond" were the only highly-rated sitcoms that remained on the network television schedule, and conventional and largely unfunny sitcoms like "King of Queens," "The Drew Carrey Show," and "Dharma and Greg" typified most of the rest of networks' comedy schedule.
But there were two marginally rated and spectacular shows lurking in the background of the television schedule that year that would help usher in the modern sitcom: Aaron Sorkin's "Sports Night" and "Newsradio." "Sports Night" was a single camera comedy with elements of drama that introduced us to the Walk and Talk. It also had no laugh track, which was almost unheard of at the time for a show purporting to be a comedy.

The Goo Goo Dolls are pumped. On the heels of completing their first studio album in almost four years, the boys from Buffalo are fist-bumping the Goo Goo nation with some fresh new tunes and a tricked-out tour. The Alternative Rock trio has taken some time out to observe, reflect, and create. Now they're taking the new songs out for a spin, and their fans could not be happier. The Dolls, after all, have a habitual fondness for the plight of the common man. Perhaps it's why they've endured for 25 years. That, along with their capacity for crafting catchy, yet relevant songs. This thinking-man's band made up of John Rzeznik, Robby Takac, and Mike Malinin, is in it for the duration -- and they're ready to rock and roll. We recently had the opportunity to speak with Goo Goo Dolls bassist/vocalist Robby Takac about the tour, the new record,...
