Sex & Nudity

  • Some implied rape. However, Don is shown in his boxers and Adrienne is sown in a nightgown.

Violence & Gore

  • Carno kills his wives in brutal ways. He killed his first wife, Horentica by suffocating her with a trowel with mulch. He killed his second wife, Victoria by impaling her eye with a wine bottle. He killed his third wife, Leonora by twisting her head on a torture device. He killed his fourth wife, Regina by force feeding her bodily organs through a funnel.
  • In the infamous torture device seen with Leonora, we do not see her neck being snapped leading to her demise, but we hear it.
  • Carno's fifth wife, Marie conspires with his prop master (whom she is cheating on Carno with) to attempt to murder him. They rig his chair for a dangerous escapology trick. He survived, but is severely burnt. He was impaled by the prop master after he beheaded Marie. The entire sequence is extremely gory.
