nice.

Just bought the DVD .... nice little film. Recoginzed many of the actors ... have seem them in various films and shows. Picked it out as it was highly recommended by a film festival in Germany.

It's a slow build but keeps you hooked ... we all know someone like the slimy father in the movie ... some us are related to these jerks ... expertly played by Joe J. Garcia. The son, Billy, will remind many of us of that awkward teenage time in life when you realize what your family is really like another great performance by Mickey Blaine ... why isn't this guy on THE OC?

... a final note ... Jessica Moon ... the little sister ... what a babe!

very cool, a real find if you can catch it at a festival, haven't seen it on DVD yet

Saw this one at the New York Independent Film Festival. Very sadistic and very subtle ... but very real. The sinister intentions of Sandy (the father) are entirely based on real human loss and human needs for family, contact and sense of belonging. The son, Billy, is also completely real and is also driven by real underlying stuff. The film doesn't rely on any false motivations to drive the story. Not easy to pull-off ... but Eight Lanes In Hamilton does it in style that feels comfortable ... and not forced fed like so many films these days. The filmmakers seem to trust that the audience will get it ... you do need to watch carefully to get it ... but that's what makes it cool and worthwhile. I've told many about the film, but haven't found it anywhere for them to see it.
