Spin up some margaritas and call over your gals, “Sweet Magnolias” Season 3 is here. Based on the book series by Sherryl Woods, Netflix’s sweet small-town drama follows the intertwined lives of three life-long best friends — Maddie Townsend, Dana Sue Sullivan and Helen Decatur — who call themselves the “Sweet Magnolias.”
Raised together in the idyllic yet gossip-hungry town of Serenity, the trio has been through it all, together. The series follows the stories of the Sweet Magnolias and their families, from the messy first loves and heartbreaks of their kids at Serenity High School to the (even messier) adult trials of romance, parenting and pursuing your dreams.

Aw, this was supposed to be a CineSavant Column entry, but it got way out of hand and became an article. We got a looksee at a horror film that’s been just plain unavailable for at least twenty-five years: out of circulation / Mia / a Dead Parrot. And what did we see in the show but an opportunity for an essentially meaningless but fun photo-comparison feature? Is this a proper activity for an adult? I’ll be hiding out in motels for the next few nights, so don’t bother trying to corral me with another forcible lifestyle intervention. The cops didn’t find me last time, or the people that went missing!

CBS has given out a put pilot order for a comedy set in the world of eSports, Variety has learned.
The untitled single-camera series follows a recently retired pro basketball star who attempts to reconnect with his estranged son by buying an eSports franchise. Dan Kopelman will write and executive produce. Aaron Kaplan and Dana Honor of Kapital Entertainment will also executive produce along with Rick Fox. Warner Bros. Television, where Kopelman is under an overall deal, will serve as the studio.
The series is no doubt particularly resonant for Fox, himself a former basketball star who became a co-owner of eSports team “Echo Fox” back in 2015. The team currently competes across a number of titles including “Super Smash Bros.” and “Fortnite.”
Kopelman previously created the CBS comedy series “Me, Myself, and I.” His other credits include “Malcolm in the Middle,” “Big Wolf on Campus,” “Galavant,” and “Rules of Engagement.

I'm sitting here trying to write so I can have more to post on here when it occured to me, why limit myself to just my writing? So, I decided to post some comics I've been working on over the years. This is the story of Ben Silver, bitten by a werewolf one night and now he is The Beast Of Bailey High! It's not truly a horror comic, but contains horror elements. I took my inspiration more from Big Wolf on Campus, Buffy, and Danny Phantom and the l…...

CBS capped a busy pickup day at the broadcast networks with an order to a multicamera comedy from writer Peter Knight and Happy Madison. The project, produced by Sony Pictures TV and CBS TV Studios, is a workplace ensemble featuring a group of assistants and junior executives as they juggle love, friendship, and the corporate ladder. Knight, who previously created Krod Mandooon and the Flaming Sword of Fire and co-created Big Wolf on Campus, is executive producing with Happy Madison's Doug Robinson. The ensemble comedy was originally set up at CBS last season. In October, Knight landed another multicamera comedy project, a family sitcom about a suburban dad, at CBS with a put pilot commitment. That project also hailed from Happy Madison and Sony TV. This marks Sony TV's third comedy pilot pickup today. Earlier in the day, NBC greenlighted two half-hour pilots from the studio: Peter Tolan's Brave...

Kill Speed
Stars: Andrew Keegan, Brandon Quinn, Nick Carter, Natalia Cigliuti, Goldberg, Robert Patrick, Greg Gunberg, Reno Wilson | Written and Directed by Kim Bass
A trio of young cocky pilots make their fortune running crystal meth across the Mexican border into California in their high-speed 300mph private planes, a fortune which helps pay for a rockstar Hollywood lifestyle of high-rolling, girls and party after party. But their antics attract the attention of the FBI, who want to use the trio to bust the Mexican cartel that is supplying the crystal meth. Caught in between the cops and the crooks, the flyboys must run their craziest mission yet.
Just pause for a minute and re-read that plot outline. Now think about it for a moment… Yes, Kill Speed is Fast & Furious, only with planes instead of hot-rods. It’s almost as if writer/director Kim Bass had an idea for another...

Fans are still buzzing about how Paré's character, a secretary to Don Draper, fares in the season-four finale.
By MTV News staff

On the season finale of "Mad Men," Jessica Paré made the leap from ancillary background character (who slept, on one occasion, with the brooding Don Draper) to a full-blown focal point of the show. Her demure, delicate Megan — Draper's fill-in secretary — eventually began a whirlwind romance with her boss, one that culminated in ... well, we're not going to ruin the season-four finale if you haven't seen it yet.
But sufficed to say, season five is going to be pretty interesting. The role of Megan is unquestionably Paré's big break here in the U.S. — as evidenced by her current popularity on Google Trends — one that comes more than a decade after she first began acting in TV series like "Big Wolf on Campus...

Exclusive: Another sign that family comedy is the hottest half-hour genre this season: After a bidding war with ABC, CBS has landed an untitled family sitcom by writer-producer Peter Knight with a big put pilot commitment. The multicamera project, from Sony Pictures TV and studio-based Happy Madison, centers on a suburban dad of a blended family who has strong opinions about the way of doing things. In light of the success of ABC's Modern Family, family comedies have been in high demand at the broadcast networks this development season, with the emphasis often on the dad's point of view. In addition to CBS' Peter Knight project, Peter Tolan's The Council of Dads, about a dad dying of cancer who assembles a council of his closest male friends to help raise his daughters, also sparked a bidding war. It went to Fox in the biggest deal for a comedy so far this year,...

E1 Entertainment have announced the UK DVD release of 7 Days on 23rd August 2010.
Directed by Daniel Grou (Vampire High; Big Wolf On Campus; The Hunger), aka Podz, and adapted for the screen by author Patrick Senécal (5150 Elm’s Way; Evil Words) from his best-selling novel, ‘Les sept jours du talion’, 7 Days is an intense and disturbing French Canadian thriller in the tradition of the Saw movies, but if they had been directed by Michael Haneke or Lars von Trier.
Middle-aged surgeon Bruno Hamel (Claude Legault), his wife Sylvie (Fanny Mallette) and their eight-year-old daughter Jasmine (Rose-Marie Coallier) are living a happy but fairly uneventful life in the quiet suburban town of Drummondville. That all changes one beautiful autumn afternoon when Jasmine fails to return home from school and is later found to have been raped and murdered by a local man, Anthony Lemaire (Martin Dubreuil). Kröd Mändoon and the Flaming Sword of Fire is just one of those shows that wasn't meant to be. It didn't do too poorly during the brief time it was on air, but it didn't do well enough for its funders to keep the cash flow up (or so it is said).
Kröd Mändoon (Sean Maguire, who starred in the similarly spoofy Meet the Spartans) is the leader of a, uh, resistance, a motley crew of losers: Aneka (India de Beaufort), his sort-of girlfriend with an insatiable sexual appetite (that she tries to satiate with everyone but Kröd); Loquasto (Steve Speirs), his faithful pig-nosed-and-eared servant; Zezelryck (Kevin Hart), a wannabe sorcerer; and Bruce (Marques Ray), the flamboyantly-gay lover of the gang's beloved General Arcadius. Together they must fight Chancellor Donold David Dongalor (Matt Lucas) and his loyal right-hand man Barnabus (Alex MacQueen).

Today, Twilight and The Twilight Saga: New Moon star Rachelle Lefevre turns thirty-one years young. Lefevre, born in Montreal, Quebec, has been a very busy young lady over the last decade. She started acting in 1999 with a regular stint on Big Wolf On Campus. Since, she has appeared in films and television series such as The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow, Dead Awake, Life On A Stick, What About Brian, Swingtown, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and, of course, the Twilight series. In Twilight and New Moon, Lefevre portrayed the bad-girl vampire "Victoria," and, while she may not be reprising her role for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, sh ...

Alex Zamm (Inspector Gadget 2) will direct Marvin the Martian for Warner Bros..
Along with Zamm, writers Paul Kaplan (TV’s Big Wolf on Campus) and Mark Torgrove have been tapped to write the script.
Marvin the Martian will be a fusion of live-action and CGI animation, similar to 2003’s Looney Tunes: Back in Action, which was dismal failure for the studio.
Broderick Johnson, Andrew Kosove and Steve Crystal will produce the project.
Production is slated to begin sometime in 2010 with a release in 2011.
Looney Tunes: Back in Action starred Brendan Fraser and Jenna Elfman with appearances from Heather Locklear, Joan Cusack and Steve Martin. The film earned near $21 million domestically with a budget of $80 million. Ouch.

Just a few days after it was announced that the '80s cult classic Heathers was being remade for TV [1], MTV has announced plans to produce a pilot for a Teen Wolf TV series. Is this the new thing? Turning classic films into TV series instead of remaking them on the big screen? Well, I suppose changing mediums is one way to avoid a backlash from fans. There have been discussions about a Teen Wolf remake for a while now [2] (at one point, Smallville star Tom Welling was rumoured [3] to be starring), but I hadn't heard anything about a Teen Wolf TV show. According to The Hollywood Reporter [4], however, the show was first announced back in January as a possible pick-up for MTV, depending on whether or not they liked the script. It's hard not to be reminded of the Canadian TV show Big Wolf on Campus [5], but apparently they...
