Whether you think the Diana at 50 issue of Newsweek is cool or creepy (I personally vote the latter, PopWatchers), you’ll likely be keen to hear how editor-in-chief Tina Brown explained her thought process behind the decision to Photoshop the deceased Princess on the cover of the magazine with her daughter-in-law Kate Middleton. Brown, who penned the article (she also wrote the biography The Diana Chronicles), sat down with MSNBC’s Morning Joe, where she explained that, in celebration of what would have been Lady Di’s 50th birthday this Friday, “I found it really interesting to imagine what she would be doing now.

The Royal Wedding between Prince William and Kate Middleton drew in almost 23 million American viewers between 6 and 7:15 am on April 29, Deadline is reporting. Tuning in on 11 networks, including ABC, CBS, NBC, BBC America and E!, the estimate beats the number of people who watched the wedding of William’s parents, Prince Charles and Princess Diana. When Charlies and Diana married in 1981, an estimated 17 million people tuned into the Big 3 broadcast networks, ABC, CBS and NBC. However, Deadline’s London Editor Tim Adler reported that more Britons watched Charles and Diana’s wedding than William and Kate’s nuptials. Nearly 27 Britons watched William and Kate’s wedding...

Check out the pics showing the happy newlyweds — plus what went on at the reception!
The Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton was planned out to the smallest detail, but some great new candids show the couple nervously preparing for their huge post-wedding reception!
The shots, posted on The Royal Wedding blog, capture the newlyweds leaving for the evening reception, with a long night of food, drink and dancing ahead of them. There are also some super-sweet shots of William walking with his proud father, Prince Charles.
As for the party itself, it sounds like it was a party for the ages. It was thrown by William’s father and accommodated 300 of the couple’s closest friends and family members. Singer Ellie Goulding performed at the party and she spoke to Us Weekly about the event, saying, “The atmosphere was incredible and it is a night I’ll never forget!

Check out why Kate and Will’s second reception will be the hottest party of the season! Hint: Disco balls are involved
The vows were said, rings were exchanged, and beautiful newlyweds Prince William and Kate Middleton kissed (twice) on the balcony. After a long day filled with a beautiful ceremony and an extravagant luncheon, the only thing left to do is let loose and celebrate the nuptials!
Prince Charles is hosting the event, starting the night out with speeches, dinner, and then dancing. Prince Harry will be giving his best man speech, which we’re sure will be interesting since the Queen is not attending the wild festivities. We all saw Harry whisper something into William’s ear that made him blush when his bride-to-be met them at the altar. Wish we could hear his toast tonight!
The dinner will feature luscious indulgences like crab, lamb, and decadent sweets.

Kate’s mum looked stylish and chic at the Royal Wedding in a dress from designer Catherine Walker — a favorite of Princess Diana!
Carole Middleton looked stunning as she appeared for daughter Kate Middleton‘s wedding to Prince William at Westminster Abbey, from her youthful skin and gorgeous hair to her super chic dress — by Princess Diana fave Catherine Walker!
The sky blue day dress, with matching coatdress, was very similar to the wears Princess Diana was often spotted in by the French born designer.
Given Will’s strong desire to make his mother part of his big day, it seems like Carole may have wanted to contribute by wearing something reminiscent of the late Princess. What do you think HollywoodLifers?

It was just one of the highly personal and emotional moments at the Royal wedding. They have been married in front of two billion people from around the world but for Kate and William you could see plainly on their faces how much this meant to Them!
From the moment Kate Middleton got out of her black Bentley, she looked like she could be barely hold back her tears. She gripped her fathers’ hand. She was visibly shaking.
Prince William was waiting for her at the alter and when she arrived at his side, he turned to her and you could make out as he whispered to her, “you look beautiful.” It was a totally intimate moment as William leaned in to Kate and she broke into a smile. It helped her to relax- broke the formality of the “state” occasion, and made it clear that for these two people...

Kate Middleton and Prince William may be the focal point of the Royal Wedding, but there is another relationship that also seems to have blossomed of recent — Kate’s parents Carole and Michael Middleton and Prince Charles! The parents of the bride and William’s father and his wife Camilla Parker Bowles took a carriage together as they traveled from Westminster Abbey to the wedding reception at Buckingham Palace.

The world's best-kept secret is finally out! Hrh the Duchess of Cambridge walked down the aisle at Westminster Abbey Friday morning in a stunning Alexander McQueen wedding gown. The 29-year-old bride, who admitted to pre-wedding jitters, was resplendent in a fitted white V-neck gown with a long-sleeved lace overlay, designed by McQueen creative director Sarah Burton. Her two-meter, 70-centimeter train was folded next to her in the car as she was transported to the Abbey. Once she arrived, she paused for a moment - giving onlookers a peek - and sister Pippa (also in McQueen) appeared, to carry her train.

Why aren't I loving this?
The Royal Wedding: The Next Generation should be right up my alley. I was born for gaudy excess, and I've participated in most of the major over-the-top pop culture "events" in my lifetime. For instance:
In 1986, I helped my teachers coordinate the local chain in Hands Across America. I signed up all three members of the school's Arcadia fan club ( the snoots from the Power Station club refused to participate), but when the big day came and we kept expecting throngs to show up ... well, let's just say I ended up holding hands across America with Resusci Annie from health class, and the lunch lady with half a thumb.
In 1997 I solemnly watched the glitz and tears that accompanied the funeral of Princess Diana (if it's possible to be solemn while eating French Onion Sun Chips). I was most concerned about Elton John, who...

We've reached the eve of that day that those two people over yonder actually get married which means that one way or another, all this news about dresses and Princess Diana and whatnot ends tomorrow. The wedding itself airs at 6am Eastern time, so those of you west of here can adjust that as necessary to know when to set your alarm for. I'm not planning on watching or participating in any wedding related drinking games because 1. I like sleeping, especially before sunrise and 2. I have to work tomorrow and while my boss may be lenient about a few royal wedding related mimosas, I doubt the officers of Miami-Dade county consider that an acceptable excuse for driving under the influence. Still, I'll watch the highlights and I hope all of you who are waking up for super early morning wedding gawking have a great time. And those of you who...

Kate Middleton and Prince William pose just like two people in love on the eve of their big wedding day, and we love it! Kate is upfront in the foreground and is clearly the focus of this stunning shot by famed fashion photog Mario Testino. And William, in a matching open-collared shirt, appears to be delighted!
We can’t imagine Queen Elizabeth revealing herself in such a natural, relaxed manner.

The Royal Wedding of Prince William to Kate Middleton is just three days away and the Brits are already starting to stake out their spots outside Westminster Abbey so that they can watch the festivities for themselves. The family of William’s late mother will be across the aisle from the royal family for Friday’s wedding — is it because Diana’s brother insulted the Royal family?
The Royal wedding is just days away and the seating chart for the big day reveals a rather shocking surprise — Princess Diana‘s family will be seated on the bride’s side! As most know, it is customary for members of the wedding to sit on the side of the aisle correspondent to who invited them. The Royal Wedding guest list has been finalized and released by the British monarchy Saturday (April 23). Included int he 1900 invitees are David and Victoria Beckham, Elton John, Guy Ritchie, Joss Stone, Mr. Bean actor Rowan Atkinson (who is apparently a close friend of Prince Charles) and also the Crown Prince of Bahrain Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, which is maybe a surprise.
The Brits have been concerned lately about the treatment of activists in Bahrain, as the royal family has been aggressively cracking down on pro-democracy demonstrators and activists since mid-February. Over 30 people have been killed and dozens of activists and lawyers imprisoned.
About 40 other foreign royals are invited. Why no invite for President Obama? Because traditionally only crowned heads of states are invited to royal weddings. Only political leaders from the 54-member Commonwealth of Nations are invited - the Commonwealth of Nations means countries under British rule and the U.

Only political leaders from the 54-member Commonwealth of Nations are invited - the Commonwealth of Nations means countries under British rule and the U.

Kate is following Princess Diana’s path-blazing trail — she’s brave enough to ditch the ancient promise requiring a royal bride to follow her husband’s commands!
Kate Middleton will be her own woman, even when she becomes a princess! She will promise to “love, honor and keep” Prince William when they exchange vows. But she’s dropping the command to “obey” her prince — just like Princess Di!
The Daily Mail reports that Kate and William have selected what they wanted to say themselves, but some of the exact wording had not been known until now.
The couple’s approach to their big day wins praise from Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams. “I’ve been very struck by the way in which William and Catherine have approached this great event,’ he told the Daily Mirror. ’They’ve thought through what they want for themselves, but also what they want to say.

Kate Middleton was spotted at Warehouse in London this week, a moderately priced boutique on King’s Road in Chelsea, and for someone who one day could be queen this seemed to be a bit shocking — but charming!
Kate, accompanied by only one bodyguard, remained very low key during her 30-minute shopping trip on April 19, picking up $369 worth of apparel, including three summer dresses, and blouse!
We think it’s pretty great that a woman who could someday be queen is no diva, and always down for a good bargain. Her most expensive purchase was a tropical print dress for $105, accompanied by two other dresses, a one shoulder feather print dress for $72 and and a bright floral bandeau dress for...
