Before we speculate about Chapter 3, let’s quickly recap where we left off. Beyond Salem: Chapter 2 premiered on July 11, 2022, and consisted of five episodes. The story followed beloved characters from Days Of Our Lives as they navigated a new set of challenges and adventures.
One major plot point involved Megan Hathaway Dimera (Miranda Wilson) reuniting the three prisms to cure her father, Stefano Dimera of an incurable brain tumor. The season ended on a cliffhanger, with Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) stepping out of the cryogenic chamber, not Stefano.

“I’ve been broken and then put back together so many times,” BTS leader Rm told the fashion brand 032c in his final interview before enlisting in the Korean military last year. “I realized that the person I think I am doesn’t really exist.” On his heady second solo album, Rm digs into that existential dilemma, interrogating the relationship between his world-conquering presented self and the “ordinary young man named Kim Namjoon” that he would be if he hadn’t taken the pop-star path.

The New York Times reported on Wednesday that Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito flew an “Appeal to Heaven” flag at his New Jersey beach house. The flag’s close association with both far-right Christian nationalists and the insurrectionists who stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6 raises serious questions about Alito’s ability to rule impartially. The conservative court on which Alito sits is largely the product of right-wing dark-money overlord Leonard Leo, and — wouldn’t you know it — Leo flew the same “Appeal to Heaven” flag outside of his house in Maine.

Growing up in Texas in the 2000s, new-generation rap-rock star Teezo Touchdown was largely unfamiliar with Talking Heads. But as he was making his own records and plotting a stage show, some of his colleagues thought he’d be inspired by the band and called up a clip from its 1984 concert movie, Stop Making Sense. “The opening shot of David Byrne coming out with a boombox and doing ‘Psycho Killer’ — I had a true discovery moment,” Teezo recalls. “With what he was doing, and the production and the visuals, they had the total package.

Director and producer Tom Tykwer has become managing director of Berlin-based production company X Filme Creative Pool, best known for “Babylon Berlin,” alongside Uwe Schott. Tykwer succeeds Stefan Arndt, one of Germany’s leading producers.
The reorganization of the company’s management is intended to “sharpen the focus on the development and implementation of creative, bold and unusual material for film and television,” according to a statement.
Arndt is leaving at his own request but will remain associated with the company as a producer.
X Filme Creative Pool was founded 30 years ago by Tykwer together with the writers and directors Wolfgang Becker and Dani Levy as well as Arndt. The four founders, who remain shareholders together with Beta Film and Bogey, based themselves on United Artists with the aim of producing sophisticated films with an audience appeal – or, as Variety put it, “intelligent films that audiences want to see.”

German director Tom Tykwer has been named Managing Director of Babylon Berlin producer X Filme Creative Pool as part of a restructure that sees company co-founder Stefan Arndt step down.
The pair co-founded the German production powerhouse 30 years ago, but Tykwer will now succeed Arndt in the MD role, and joins Uwe Schott on the management team in Berlin. Arndt is exiting “at his own request” but will remain “associated” with the producer and stays on its board.
X Filme noted the restructure was “intended to sharpen the focus on the development and implementation of creative, bold and unusual material for film and television.”
“I would like to withdraw from the day-to-day business so that I can concentrate more on producing again,” said Arndt. “Some exciting projects are already in the pipeline and I’m looking forward to realising them as a freelance producer with the X Filme team.”

For the last 10 years, A24 has been home to movies that wouldn’t have been made anywhere else, as low and mid-budget films are almost obsolete in the mainstream Hollywood landscape. But following their commitment to funding risky visions of outsider filmmakers, the Indie outfit has built a pretty strong brand identity and is now set to join forces with one of the best in the game.
Steven Spielberg, who previously spoke highly of A24’s Oscar-nominated The Zone of Interest, is now teaming up with the indie distributor for an adaptation of The Heaven & Earth Grocery Store.

True crime is getting more and more entertaining by the day and I don’t if that’s a good thing or a bad one. We have another brilliant true crime drama series, Under the Bridge, created by Quinn Shephard. Based on a 2005 book of the same name by Rebecca Godfrey, the Hulu series is set in 1997 and it follows the murder case of a 14-year-old girl which we see through the eyes of local police officer Cam Bentland and the author Godfrey. Under the Bridge stars Lily Gladstone and Riley Keough in the lead roles with Virtika Gupta, Chloe Guidry, Javon “Wanna” Walton, and Izzy G starring in supporting roles. So, if you love the thrilling and dreadful story of Under the Bridge, here are some other shows that have similar tone and story elements that you should check out next.

X-Men is one of the most favorite superhero teams. The team’s adventures have been adapted into several series and movies over the years. The first attempt at an adaptation was made in 1989 with X-Men: Pryde of the X-Men. However, the show was not picked up for a second season.

A second attempt at adapting the mutant superhero team’s adventures was made a couple of years later; X-Men: The Animated Series debuted in the U.S. in October 1992. The show was a hit with the fans and was aired for 5 seasons.
Much to the delight of the fans of the superhero team, the epic show was revived decades later. However, this new show, known as X-Men ’97, has deprived everyone of the one character that the 1992 show worked so hard to perfect.

There are not a lot of actors in Hollywood whose presence itself on-screen exudes badassery. Liam Neeson has carved a unique niche for himself in the film industry, where directors and producers look up to him for serious roles. From Schindler’s List to Batman Begins, the actor has carefully picked feathers for his cap that are a testament to his effervescent acting abilities.
However, he often goes offbeat and picks up projects that show off a different side to his demanding presence on the silver screen, like he is about to do in his upcoming The Naked Gun Reboot.

The final episodes of Hazbin Hotel are out, and I found them to be quite exciting, to say the very least. The battle between Hell and Heaven in a musical format with quite a bit of swearing was pretty interesting to see, and even though I didn’t enjoy some parts, the philosophy of the show is something that could have worked in a feature film too. It’s the joy and fun plus the total abandon that animation brings that perhaps the live action may not have been able to match up to. In the previous episodes, Charlie’s plans had failed up to the point that Adam was more eager than ever to come down to Hell with his army and take part in the semi-annual extermination. Now only a few days remain, and we will see how the battle between Hell and Heaven goes down.

I didn’t think I needed to see an adult animated series made solely around the concept of Hell and Heaven, but Hazbin Hotel has changed my mind. In this trippy and weird animated musical about the politics of damnation and redemption, one can feel like the makers have taken inspiration from old cartoons and infused some dark themes that we generally reserve for gritty dramas. There is a witty story drawn from Adam and Eve describing how Hell was formed, and soon we are plunged into Hell, the origin of all monstrosity, but Heaven has its part to play in it as well. The cheeky and blasphemous nature of the series makes it a risky adventure, but there are some interesting characters in the show that are skillfully explored within this microcosm.

Marc Charles Williams, better known as Mars Williams, the front-and-center saxophonist of ’80s New Wave bands The Waitresses and The Psychedelic Furs, died Nov. 20 of the rare and aggressive ampullary cancer in a Chicago hospice facility. He was 68.
His death was announced by his family on a GoFundMe page last month, but has more recently gained widespread attention. His brother Paul R. Williams confirmed the cause of death to The New York Times for an obituary posted today.
Following his initial stints in the Waitresses and Psychedelic Furs – both bands were early MTV favorites with videos often spotlighting the playful Williams, and he would reunite with the Furs throughout his life – the saxophonist went on to lead his own jazz ensembles including the influential, Grammy-nominated acid jazz group Liquid Soul in the 1990s.

The tale of the Ineffable Husbands isn't over just yet. Amazon has officially picked up "Good Omens" for a third and final season, with Neil Gaiman once again serving as showrunner, executive producer, and writer. For Gaiman, in particular, season 3 will offer him a chance to complete the story that he and the late, great Terry Pratchett -- his co-writer on the original "Good Omens" novel and the Aziraphale to his Crowley -- first began plotting out nearly 35 years ago.
After canceling the apocalypse in season 1, the angel Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) and the demon Crowley (David Tennant) spent most of "Good Omens" season 2 trying to uncover how Aziraphale's old boss, the archangel Gabriel (Jon Hamm), came to find his way to Aziraphale's bookshop on Earth devoid of memories, clothes, and his not-so-winning smug personality. The resulting season was a frothy yet largely charming rom-com in which the Ineffable Husbands came...

Tom Tykwer is coming back to the movies.
The German director of Run Lola Run and Cloud Atlas has announced his return to filmmaking with the German drama Das Licht (The Light).
The feature, which has just wrapped principal photography, is described as a portrait of a family “between collapse and new beginnings” and deals with the major issues of our time “in a world that is reeling.”
Das Licht is Tykwer’s first feature film since 2016’s A Hologram for the King, starring Tom Hanks. He has spent the past seven years on TV, co-creating and co-directing, with Henk Handloegten and Achim von Borries, four seasons of the acclaimed and award-winning German historic series Babylon Berlin.

Sum 41 have officially announced their final album, Heaven :x: Hell. The double LP is set to drop on March 29th, and the video for the new single “Rise Up” can be streamed now.
The raucous track sees the pop-punk vets in prime form, as frontman Deryck Whibley dishes out nasally vocal hooks to the song’s pogo-ready rhythm. While Sum 41 have declared the upcoming double album their last, “Rise Up” doesn’t sound like a band running out of steam. Instead, they’re going out on top.
News of the album follows Sum 41’s retirement announcement earlier this year. For Whibley, the 20-track Heaven :x: Hell — which pairs a pop-punk “Heaven” disc with the more heavy metal “Hell” flip-side — felt like a proper conclusion.
“Once I heard the music, I was confident enough to say, ‘This is the record I’d like to go out on,’” Whibley said via a press release.

It’s been seven years since “The X Factor” runner-up Rebecca Ferguson last put out a record. Despite her hiatus from the industry, Ferguson never walked away from music, instead using her downtime to craft songs in a more spontaneous way.
“It was me organically calling up people saying, ‘Should we do a session?’ over seven years, very sporadically,” Ferguson tells Variety. “I got to the point where I was like, I do need to get an album out. Then I thought, ‘But I’ve got an album.’”
The result is “Heaven Part II,” which, according to the accompanying press release, is an exploration of “love, family, joy, liberation and Rebecca’s journey to happiness.” Over the past seven years, Ferguson has experienced a number of ups and downs, from personal and professional break-ups (including with her former management company) as well as a new marriage and a new baby,...

Though PinkPantheress’s Heaven Knows is dotted with samples across its runtime, the British singer’s debut album nonetheless presents an original, unique vision. A departure from her 2021 mixtape To Hell with It, which is built around succinct, TikTok-ready songs and easily recognizable sonic quotations from various U.K. dance cuts, Heaven Knows is a full-throated pop album with an eye on contemporary trends.
“The Aisle” is as good a bellwether as any to determine if fans will take the leaps that PinkPantheress is asking of them. It’s more robust than anything we’ve heard from her before, with glossy disco inflections and drum work, and layer upon layer of jittering synths. The track’s invocation of disco and nod to 2Pac’s “California Love” are in service of mainstream pop consumption rather than a revivalist genre experiment. Its pastiche is certainly less “cool,” but PinkPantheress delivers it with a surprising ease.

Getting an independent movie made these days is hard enough but for producers piling into the halls of Santa Monica’s Le Méridien Delfina Hotel for the American Film Market this week, the SAG-AFTRA strike has added another layer of complication.
SAG-AFTRA’s Interim Agreements, or IAs, the contract required for independent producers to produce or talent to promote movies during the ongoing actors strike, have made packaging and deal making tricky, with many filmmakers uncertain when, even if, projects they are offering at AFM will be able to shoot.

Watching Stephen Gray and Chris Radtke’s “After Death,” a faith-based documentary about near-death experiences that was produced by the same company behind “Sound of Freedom” (last summer’s most popular movie among people who might accuse you of being a pedophile on Twitter), I was reminded of something that Lou Reed famously never said: “Only a few chosen people have been lucky enough to bask in the light of Jesus Christ during the kind of disembodied episode that might accompany a terrible car accident or a life-saving operation, but every one of them has apparently turned it into a full-fledged career.”
