The authoritative analysis of the Turin shroud and its history
mabe9811 October 2006
This film was released around the time of the quarter-century exposition of the Turin shroud. It is the authoritative analysis of the recorded history of the shroud and all the factors that show that the image could be that of the crucified Christ alone.

It also provides a compelling reconstruction of where and how the shroud was hidden in its missing years.

Whilst the subsequent carbon dating would suggest that the shroud was made at around the time of its first documented public appearance, it does not disprove any of the factors shown in this film of the overwhelming authenticity of the image and the cloth itself thus creating an even greater mystery for viewers.

Beautiful and Wonderfully Made

This documentary has one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard in a documentary, the narrator also does an excellent job. This documentary has a certain nostalgic feel that is really hard to replicate today, and it is one of the more relaxing documentaries I know about. I can watch it a lot of times and it still soothes me to this day. I first owned it on VHS as a child, definitely will not let this one fade away into history without being remembered.
