We’re still a couple of weeks out from The Boys returning with its second season, but based on the footage we’ve seen so far, it certainly looks as if we’re in for another wild ride. One that may even top the first run of the show, which was one of the best things that we’d seen on television in a long time.
Of course, trying to predict how something as crazy as The Boys is going to end up is a fool’s errand, but let’s not forget that it won’t be the only new thing arriving on Amazon Prime in September. Far from it, in fact.
Earlier today, the streaming service announced their entire line-up of new titles for next month and it’s a meaty list, comprising both films and television shows. And though The Boys may be the highlight for many...

An election season is fast-approaching in the U.S. So for its new releases in September 2020, Amazon Prime is bringing back one of its most political shows.
The Boys season 2 premieres its first three episodes on September 4. Though the show on its face is a superhero story, viewers of season 1 will know it’s really about America’s troubling embrace of entertainment with fascism. Sounds fun and not at all terrifying right before a presidential election!
That’s not the only bleak Amazon original on the schedule for September. British TV adaptation Utopia arrives on September 25. This Gillian Flynn-produced series follows fans of a comic book who believe it predicts…world-ending pandemics. Darn it. Amazon’s only original film this month is a…documentary about voter suppression from Liz Garbus called All In: The Fight for Democracy. Yikes.
For those of us who want to relax with some ‘member berries,...

Ever since the Super Nintendo, Nintendo has been putting its genre defining Kart racer once per new system. We’re up to its 8th installment now and Mario Kart 8 offers up more of what we love from the long lasting franchise. It’s been a whole 6 years since the last console entry into the series and fans have been eager to see what’s next. After all, who isn’t excited to see their favorite Mario characters race it out in now glorious HD? Sounds great on paper and Mario Kart 8 doesn’t disappoint.
There should be no reason to explain Mario Kart gameplay to anyone, but for the few that have been living under a rock, it’s an arcade-style Kart racer. Up to 12 racers compete for first place and players can choose either a kart or motorbike. Power-ups are also available during a race and they can do...

It's not enough that the creator of Mega Man is out there developing a new side-scroller homage to arguably the greatest of side-scrolling franchises out there, now we've got a board game to look forward to. A fully-licensed, competitive 2-5 player board game based on the "Mega Man" franchise is on the way from Jasco, offering yet one more celebration of the Blue Bomber's 25th anniversary.
Speaking with Rockman Online, Jasco explained that in the game, each player takes on the role of Mega Man with the goal of defeating evil robot creator Dr. Wily. And that's going to involve a strategy familiar to anyone who's a fan of the long-running series:
In order to beat Wily you have to beat the Robot Masters, and to do that you have to get through the levels. To move through levels you face challenges, the more difficult a challenge the more movement you get from beating it.

Guys: you’re overreacting. Yes, it’s probably completely true that Drake and Chris Brown got into a brawl last night- but why does it have to be about fellow popstar Rihanna? Why can't this just be a classic case of bros bein' bros? We fight over the silliest, most trivial things, and here are a bunch of reasons why the lanky dancer and the emotional rapper came to bro blows (ha) last night. And none of them have to do with the fact that they have a common ex. None.

Final Fantasy 14 is one of very few massively multiplayer online games in development for console systems. It would seem that a console with a strong online component would be a natural home for Final Fantasy 14 — a system like the Xbox 360 (which already features a version of the previous Ff Mmo, Final Fantasy 11). Not so, says Square Enix.
Hiromichi Tanaka, creator and director of Final Fantasy 14, puts it this way:
“The main reason why we couldn’t go with Xbox 360 was the Xbox Live system.”
“[Live is] different to the normal internet environment, so when we wanted to introduce this game in the same environment as Windows PC it had to be PS3, so that was our choice.”
“Microsoft has a different point of view: they want to have a closed environment for Xbox Live. We’re still talking to… We couldn’t come to an agreement on Xbox Live.”

ModNation Racers is, quite simply, the LittleBigPlanet of kart racers. Part of Sony’s Play, Create, Share line of games, it’s coming to both the PS3 and PSP. I recently had the chance to play a demo of the PSP version of the game. Packing two Action Races, Flaming Jumps and Lost Temple, as well as a scaled-back version of the Track Studio course design mode, the demo should keep players busy until the full game comes out.
But, hey, don’t take our word for it — check it out for yourself! Game Rant has a ModNation Racers PSP demo code to give away. Just follow @gamerant on Twitter (you’re doing that anyway, right?), and retweet our “ModNation Racers Demo Code give away” tweet to enter. Good luck!

Yesterday we learned that Bethesda still has another title planned for a 2010 release that's not "Brink," "Fallout: New Vegas" or "Rage." Today I'm asking you...what do you think it'll be?
kidkoexist @multiplayers Tamriel Kart Racer! Choose from your favorite characters from The Elder Scrolls such as Fargoth and the Lusty Argonian Maid!
Kinmar @multiplayers they're gonna follow the Sqeenix tactic and announce Tes V then immediately announce Tes VI
Shinobi_Boa @multiplayers Fallout 4 is a no-brainer but I don't expect an announcement so soon.
Undeadlaz @multiplayers since Bethesda is a pub now it will be a wii mini game collection with the d&d 4th ed. rule set. It will be hated by most [Ed note: Bethesda's been a publisher for ages now!]
FalconGN @multiplayers Guessing it's probably going to be the new Mmo they've been working on since last year
kewlrats @multiplayers I wonder if it might be the Wii game they were going on about a couple months back.
