Michael Seligman has been tapped as producer of the 56th annual Primetime Emmy Awards, to air live Sept. 19 on ABC from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. Seligman, a three-time Emmy nominee, is a veteran of more than 300 live events and televised awards shows. He's served as supervising producer of the annual Emmy telecast for the past 15 years. This year, Seligman will work hand-in-hand with telecast executive producer Don Mischer. "Michael and I have an extensive working relationship with the Emmy Awards show, and I am pleased to have him leading our production team," Mischer said. "His experience and creativity is invaluable and will be a tremendous asset to the look and feel of the show." Seligman's long list of credits include serving as supervising producer since 1976 on the annual Academy Awards telecast, and in the same role on The Kennedy Center Honors telecast from 1976-2002. He also produced the presidential inaugural galas for President Reagan in 1980 and 1984.
