A fun, strange little movie
Generally, a movie with three actors is going to be difficult to maintain all the way through- there's simply not enough interplay for the film to carry. However, A Blue Christmas marks the debut of a young woman from the south with a lot of flair, and Lindsay Woolf shines- although the story is a little odd, her sweet smile and pensive moments make the story. I also get a kick out of her slightly sadistic boss. He's creepy, but in a funny way. The movie lacks special effects, fancy camera angles, and the general mayhem of most films, but makes up for it with a thought-provoking story and an unusual plot line. On a private note, watch for the appearance of the red hat- it's got a special significance for some of the actors.
