Silo Season 1 is an adaptation of the first book in the best-selling trilogy. ‘AHS: Delicate’ tells a terrifying tale of doubt and distortions as Anna’s IVF treatment takes several turns for the worse.
“Would I ever do anything to hurt you?”
American Horror Story, as a postmodern horror anthology show, is reflexive and self-aware by design. It’s all about holding a mirror up to not only society, but also the horror staples that audiences have taken for granted. American Horror Story has always had a lot to say on the public versus the private and the compelling dissonance between the two. AHS: Delicate, which is explicitly set in the artificial world of the film and entertainment industry, is especially interested in this territory as an actress struggles to prepare for her biggest role yet–being a mother. “Rockabye,” which successfully evolves the season premiere’s themes, digs even deeper into how identities can blur together as the public erases the private.

Nicholas Braun thought one of his first acting roles would be his last.
The former child star and “Succession” fan favorite revealed that during a cameo on “Law and Order: Special Victims Unit,” he thought he “did so badly” due to how co-star Christopher Meloni reacted during each take. Braun appeared in Season 3, Episode 17, titled “Surveillance,” which aired in 2002.
“It was a very exciting role. I played, I think, a character without a name, ‘Boy in Internet café’ because those existed at the time,” Braun said during the March 16 “Live With Kelly and Ryan” episode. “I was looking at a video of the woman who got murdered or sexually assaulted, because that’s the show. And then Chris Meloni and Ice-t, I think, come and sit down and are like, ‘Why are you watching this video?'”
Braun continued, “And actually it’s funny because Chris Meloni didn’t think...

HBO’s latest hit series The Last of Us now officially has a soundtrack for its first season, a massive, 66-song compilation of all the music scoring the post-apocalyptic tale. Check it out below.
After working on the original The Last of Us video game, composer Gustavo Santaolalla returns for the HBO series, joined by fellow artist David Fleming. In an upcoming interview with Consequence, Santaolalla describes his approach to the soundtrack, saying, “The process of adapting, it was more in a way like craftwork than actually a new creation, because the themes were there, those things are there, like the characters, it wasn’t about creating a new job, it wasn’t about finding what is interesting. For example, in seeing how Pascal and Bella, they’re different than the actors that played the voices, but at the same time, they keep the soul of the characters intact.”

Sophia Bush is returning to NBC!
Deadline is reporting that the former Chicago P.D. actress has landed a recurring role on the second half of This Is Us Season 4.
As is the norm with this ratings juggernaut, producers are keeping tight-lipped about who she is playing.
However, series creator, Dan Fogelman has teased that she will be part of Kevin's (Justin Hartley) storyline.
If you watch This Is Us online, you know Kevin has mostly been unlucky in love, but thanks to the introduction of a future storyline, we know he has a child in the future.
Whether Bush's character will be revealed as the baby mama, we don't know, but it sure is fun to speculate.
Another new addition to the hit family drama's cast is Pamela Adlon (Better Things), who will recur as part of “Randall’s very intense storyline,” Fogelman dished.

Lucifer's final season is bringing the big man upstairs into the narrative.
The Netflix drama has added Dennis Haysbert to the cast for the fifth and final season, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Despite there being no clarity on whether he will recur or be a series regular, the outlet notes that he "will appear throughout" the final season.
No other details have been revealed at this stage.
If you watch Lucifer online, you know God has been mentioned multiple times throughout the run of the series.
Author Neil Gaiman previously lended his voice to the charactr during Lucifer Season 3, while Timothy Omundson appeared during Lucifer Season 2 as a man who claimed to be God.
The addition of Haysbert to the cast also means the series will be staging a 24 reunion. Haysbert and D.B. Woodside starred as brothers on the Kiefer Sutherland drama.

CBS has given out one of its first pilot orders of the season to a drama that hails from Robert and Michelle King.
Titled “Evil,” it is described as a series about the battle between science and religion. The show focuses on a skeptical female clinical psychologist who joins a priest-in-training and a blue-collar contractor as they investigate supposed miracles, demonic possessions, and other extraordinary occurrences to see if there’s a scientific explanation or if something truly supernatural is at work.
The Kings will serve as writers and executive producer on the pilot, with Liz Glotzer of King Size Productions also executive producing. CBS Television Studios, where the Kings are set up under an overall deal, will produce.
The pilot order continues the Kings’ long and lucrative relationship with CBS. The husband and wife team previously created the critically-acclaimed drama “The Good Wife” for CBS, which ran for seven seasons and over 150 episodes.

February is known as Women in Horror Month, when the spotlight is put on female filmmakers working inside our favorite genre, and many horror sites run pieces about movies directed by women. Why not use this October to hit up these titles on Shudder and get to know some of the most exciting female voices in horror right now?

Warner Bros. is developing a movie about Michael Brown “that is tonally and thematically similar to ‘Crash.'” The news comes courtesy of the Tracking Board, who report that the studio has acquired the rights to Lezley McSpadden’s memoir “Tell the Truth & Shame the Devil: The Life, Legacy, and Love of My Son Michael Brown.” “Crash,” which won Best Picture in 2006, used a cross-cutting narrative to explore racism in Los Angeles — an approach that remains controversial even now.

Deadline is reporting that Jennifer Chambers Lynch (Surveillance, Hisss) will direct an upcoming psycho killer flick called Hellfest. The flick was written by The Walking Dead Ep Gale Anne Hurd. CBS Films president Terry Press said her company has “loved the concept of Hellfest since Gale brought it to us and we have been waiting for exactly the right director. Jennifer came to us with both the passion and the vision necessary to make Hellfest a terrifying Halloween tradition much like the growing phenomenon of the theme park horror nights enjoyed by...

Although relatively scarce, horror movies directed by women are out there. You may have to turn over a few rocks to know who they are and their material might be a little more difficult to get your hands on, but these directors deserve just as much attention and scrutiny as their male counterparts, who have long dominated the genre. The following discusses selections of female directors’ forays into the business of terror. (This post contains spoilers)
Antonia Bird
The late director Antonia Bird’s Ravenous is a bizarre amalgamation of humor and horror that explores cannibalism with warped nuance. The strangely cacophonous score builds up tension as craven outcasts face a glutinous and depraved attacker whose strength seems fortified by his consumption of human flesh. Set during America’s westward expansion, the metaphor of humanity’s insatiable appetite for power is plain to see, but its execution indulges in such...

While James Wan has projects lined up that encompass many genres – Aquaman and MacGyver, to name just two – horror is clearly where the filmmaker’s heart is. His directorial efforts may be diversifying, but his producer’s eye remains focused clearly on the shadowy, darker corners of the minds of his audience – and those shadows will soon take the form of an adaptation of the popular 2014 novel, The Boy Who Drew Monsters, by Keith Donohue.
The adaptation will be written by Ian Goldberg (Once Upon A Time) and Richard Naing (making his screenwriting debut), and will be produced by Wan for New Line. The plot of the book has all the elements of a great scary tale, featuring aspects of ghost stories, combined with a ‘creature feature’ atmosphere.

You know what’s hip right now? Horror anthologies. You know what’s really hip right now? Horror anthologies that involve letters in their titles. You know what’s hip, uh, always? Women. Magnet Releasing has previously hinted at the creation of an all-new anthology series that comes to us from talented women (Shock Till You Drop first broke the news way back in November of last year), and now it looks like Xx is finally becoming a reality. The distribution label has announced that Xx is a go, featuring an all-female cast and only female directors, which Magnet will fully finance and own world rights to. Their mission? Create something horror-related, with creative freedom at the root of it all. Sounds pretty great, right? Magnet is also home to the V/H/S horror anthology series and the ABCs of Death franchise, so yeah, these people love horror and they love letters. What...

Magnet Releasing – the ‘genre arm’ of Magnolia Pictures – has announced the acquisition of its latest horror anthology, which will be produced by Xyz Films. Having seen huge success with The ABCs Of Death and V/H/S, among others, Magnet now turns its attention to Xx – an anthology made up of short films that have female leads and female directors. Now, if there’s one thing that draws out the anti-feminist crowd, it’s the subject of female representation in the horror film genre. The reason for their dramatic eye-rolling is fairly obvious at first glance – there are plenty of women in prominent roles onscreen in horror movies, so what’s the problem? Halloween, Scream, The Exorcist, The Conjuring, Paranormal Activity, Insidious, Mama, 2013’s Evil Dead, Drag Me To Hell, 2006′s The Hill Have Eyes – in horror, it seems, there are women everywhere you look. So, why does Magnet Releasing...

Last month, Dark Sky Films and Xyz Films announced the production of an historic film: Xx, the first horror anthology written and directed entirely by women.
