But unlike the rest of the students at Beacontown High School, Scott's changes include long hair that covers his entire body, claw-like fingernails, fangs, a heightened sense of smell, superhuman strength and the extraordinary ability to … play basketball? And that's just the beginning.
Naturally, these uncanny new features turn this lovable loser into the most popular kid in school. But by embracing his newly minted popularity, has the Teen Wolf lost sight of what it truly means to be Scott Howard?

When it comes to food, Minka Kelly is not one to hold back on indulging—but she also knows when she’s taken things a little too far.
“I just pay attention to how I’m feeling and try to keep that in check,” she tells People. “I know if I’m feeling sluggish.”
The actress and culinary school grad—who partnered up with Dove Chocolate to give a behind-the-scenes look at how the company sources cocoa beans from farmers in Ecuador—admits that her most recent guilty pleasure is a McDonald’s Big Mac or Taco Bell.

The Girls with the Dragon Tattoo
Following on from its release of ‘Lady Snowblood’ and ‘Lady Snowblood 2: Love Song of Vengeance’ in 2012, UK company Arrow Films has released another Japanese cult classic in ‘Blind Woman’s Curse’, a film which mixes swordplay, horror and the supernatural into a bloody vengeance scenario.
Also known as ‘Kaidan nobori ryû’, ‘The Tattooed Swordswoman’ and ‘Black Cat’s Revenge’, this is unusual action fare from director Teruo Ishii. Meiko Kaji, who went on to star as Lady Snowblood, cuts her teeth – and several villains’ major arteries – as Akemi, the head of the Tachibana Clan. In the opening rain swept swordfight, she accidentally blind’s Aiko (Hoki Tokuda), the younger sister of Yakuza clan leader Boss Goda. While The Ruins, his feature debut, didn’t open up the opportunities for this all-in-one talent pool, the best item to come out of Sundance 2006 was Carter Smith’s short Bugcrush, and the equally engaging Yearbook (we were there for the preem) was a 2011 reminder that Smith has got the goods. Reteaming with cinematographer Darren Lew, his sophomore film commenced production in March of this year (here is a rather nice set-visit journal from the book novelist) with a smart casting set comprised of Liv Tyler, Judy Greer and Cameron Monaghan, the indie-budgeted Jamie Marks Is Dead might be the fun in the woods anti-thesis of last year’s The Kings of Summer (Toy’s House) that puts a well deserved talent in the spotlight.
Gist: Based on Christopher Barzak’s novel (One for Sorrow), Adam McCormick (Monaghan) had just turned fifteen when the body was found in the woods.

When Sinister was released in October 2012, we had the pleasure of chatting with co-writer C. Robert Cargill and co-writer/director Scott Derrickson about their gut-punch thriller. With the film's home video release this week, we thought it the perfect time to catch up with the duo.
Derrickson and Cargill (read our previous interview with them here) spoke more about the mythology they created for Sinister as well as what's been the most surprising aspect of their collaboration since they began writing the project together not all that long ago. We also heard from the pair about a potential Sinister sequel and what sort of pitfalls they want to avoid when creating a follow-up to what was by far one of the more intense horror flicks to grace the big screen in 2012.
Be warned, though; the following interview with Derrickson and Cargill does contain some spoilers so if you haven't seen Sinister yet,...

The flick Sinister (review here) had the DC staff divided. Some liked it and some hated it, but either way it did great box office so a sequel could always be looming. In fact the first chatter has begun. Read on for the latest on the continuing adventures of Mr. Boogie.
SciFiNow caught up with director Scott Derrickson and co-writer C. Robert Cargill, who had this to say of the potential sequel...
“I certainly want to write the script and be involved with it as the producer – I would possibly direct the next one, we’ll see,” says Derrickson. “But I don’t see myself just handing the franchise over to just anybody and letting it go. If it goes on – then maybe – but I want to see it start its process on the right foot at least, and always have some say and have some involvement in it.”

After the alien invasion of Independence Day, a new Ice Age in The Day After Tomorrow and a deluge caused by the collapse of the Earth's crust in 2012, director Roland Emmerich said he was done with disaster films.
Well, not quite. No one does an apocalypse quite like Emmerich and the German filmmaker is an executive producer on new film Hell, which is released on DVD and Blu-ray in the UK today (July 2, 2012).
Directed by Tim Fehlbaum, the German sci-fi production is billed as a "searing sci-fi thriller about the terrifying lengths humans will go to survive."
It enjoyed a 2011 theatrical release in Germany, Russia, Poland and Japan, as well as being screened at several European festivals.

Stars: Jason Segel, Amy Adams, Chris Cooper, Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Gonzo, Animal, Walter, Jack Black | Written by Jason Segel, Nicholas Stoller | Directed by James Bobin
I’m a Muppets fan, I have been since I was a kid. I even loved the late 90s series The Muppets Tonight, which I remember wasn’t a hit with fans at the time. Of course there have been some missteps in Muppet history – the last being Muppet Wizard of Oz in 2005 – but then the Muppets always bounce back don’t they? They do, and that’s what The Muppets is all about. But who knew it would take them so long.
The plot of The Muppets is simple: Oil tycoon Tex Richman buys the old Muppets Theatre, which is now in disrepair, with plans to knock it down and drill for oil on the site. However his...

Lionsgate will bring a new supernatural spine tingle to the masses on October 5th. Releasing theatrically, Sinister screened at SXSW to positive acclaim, and Lionsgate will look to turn that early buzz into big box office bucks. Gearing up for the seasonal release, the good folks at Lionsgate are rolling out a couple bad ass posters that are sure to snag the attention of genre fans. Scott Derrickson, who wrote and directed the popular The Exorcism of Emily Rose as well as Hellraiser: Inferno will spearhead Sinister; again tackling writing and directorial duties. Ethan Hawke (Taking Lives, Daybreakers), Vincent D'Onofrio (The Cell, Chained), James Ransone (Prom Night, Jericho), Juliet Rylance (Animal) and Fred Dalton Thompson (Cape Fear, Die Hard 2) round out the picture’s focal cast.

"Nikita" fans, rest easy -- though it was on shaky ground for a moment there, the show was picked up for a full Season 3. The second season ended with a few shocking twists last week, but at least we can all look forward to watching it on Fridays at 9 p.m. starting this October. Phew!
"I got a missed call from the head of the studio," Maggie Q tells us, "and I thought, that's either, 'Oh, you're not coming back,' or 'Congratulations.' I called him up, and he answered and he just started laughing, and I went 'Oh, I guess it's good.' We got picked up for 22 [episodes], which I did not genuinely expect at all. If we were coming back I thought we'd get maybe half a season."
The cast will go back to work on Season 3 in July, but in the meantime, Maggie isn't exactly twiddling her thumbs.

They’re back! Kermit, Miss Piggy, Animal, Gonzo, Fozzie — the whole crew has returned to the big screen after a 32 year hiatus. The result is a singing and dancing extravaganza with a host of celebrity cameos. Directed by James Bobin, the film also stars Jason Segel (who co-wrote the screenplay), Amy Adams and Chris Cooper.

France's Gaumont Pictures produced the 2010 highly ambitious — and potentially controversial — movie The Round Up, written and directed by Roselyne Bosch (who also wrote and directed the 2005 psychological horror film Animal). Budgeted at E20 million ($26.4 million) and set during the second World War, The Round Up is about a French police operation involving 9,000 officers, which rounded up 13,000 Jews, mostly the elderly, women and children, on the night of July 16, 1942. Most were kept at Paris' Velodrome d'Hiver sports stadium; many were sent on to Auschwitz. The operation was ordered by France's Vichy government.
"America has a lot of movies, about Vietnam, the CIA, the Iraq War. This round-up is probably the biggest tragedy in French history, but it's never been told in film," producer Alain Goldman said.
