One of the five best films of Mel Chionglo
squaleneboy7 December 2004
Before Mel Chionglo was acclaimed for international champions as "Midnight Dancers" and "Burlesk King," he directed "Teenage Marriage" which brought together institutions in Philippine Cinema Gloria Romero and Charito Solis; and brought the erstwhile teenage love teams Albert Martinez-Snooky Serna and William Martinez-Maricel Soriano on a higher plain in their first mature roles. Playing a cameo role in this movie is Joseph Vergara, as the priest who saw through the rocky teenage marriage. Produced by the quintessential Lily Yu-Monteverde of "Regal Films" long before the highly acclaimed "Mano Po" series, "Teenage Marriage" opened the doors for Snooky Serna, Maricel Soriano and brothers Albert Jr. and William Martinez to tackle more challenging roles in drama and comedy.
