Along with 'Super Hang On', 'Road Rash' is one of the finest racing games, though unlike the earlier game, 'Road Rash' was all about illegal motorbike racing. The player's task is to race it out over six levels through six different destinations, while all the the time trying to avoid being knocked off your bike either by rival bikers or road users or even being arrested by traffic policemen ( given that the police officers surnames are O'Leary, O'Rourke, O'Shea and O'Connor, one gets the impression that the creators of the game must have been Irish! ). Two sequels followed for the Sega Mega Drive, followed by three spin offs for the PS1 in the late '90's. Never mind your 'Need For Speed', this is the real stuff!
