This was Todd Bridges' first credited role. He would also become one of Detective Fish's adopted kids in the spin-off Fish (1977).
One of only a few episodes that showed scenes outside of the squad room.
Jack Soo, who played Nick Yemana, is seen smoking a cigarette, which was legal and allowed indoors at the time. His tragic end came in 1979 after his esophageal cancer diagnosis, at the peak of his career. The cast dedicated an episode, Jack Soo, a Retrospective (1979), in honor of his death. The whole crew loved him, and his coffee mug was donated to Smithsonian Institution.
