Matey Dee: [Matey Dee and Cordy Blue cease firing their machine gun] Curses! We're out of ammunition.
Robin: Maybe it's a trick to get us out from behind our Bat-shield.
Batman: No trick, Robin. They are out of ammunition.

THE PENGUIN JUST GETTIN' HIS KICKS!
This way campy episode has all the markings of master writer Lorenzo Semple, who wrote the book on the series, behind 120 episodes, usually as a gag writer.
The Penguin stands accused of trying to kill Chief O'Hara, actually trying to get himself sent to prison.
As a side story, Penguin is also in the restaurant buisness, turning the tables on both Bruce Wayne and Batman by BAKING poor, ole Alfred into a gigantic pie! Amazing! He personally delivers the deadly dessert to Aunt Harriet, who goes nuts as usual. The banter between the Penguin and Aunt Harriet is hilarious, and yes, Alfred manages to escape.
Alfred also has a neat side gig, playing master forger Quill-Pen, which had to have been cooked up by Lorenzo Semple. Without too much surprise, Semple later wrote the James Bond adventure, NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN.
Finally, the Penguin is sent to prison with his goofy accomplice, pastry chef Matey Dee. This role is spot on for the talents of Vito Scotti, who played eccentric villains on GILLIGANS ISLAND and THE MONKEES.
One of the most off the wall Batman episodes, and with an actual POW, WHAAAM fight at Bruce Wayne's mansion! From SEASON 2 EPISODE 28 remastered color (and beautifully done) dvd box set.
