The Medical Examiner testified that the time of death was between 9:30 and 9:45. It is impossible to pinpoint times of death that closely.
Medical examiners always assess the stomach contents of homicide victims. It would have been easy to ascertain, based on the restaurant bill, whether the victims had stopped to eat again after leaving the restaurant, as the prosecution claimed, based on what remained in their stomachs at autopsy.
