When Stephanie Zimbalist as Inspector Churchill is asking the tobacco shop owner for information about a man who smokes Cuban cigars she offers him a $1000 bill with President Cleveland on it. She tears it in half, writes her phone number on it and in a later scene gives the tobacconist the other half after he gives her the information she is looking for. A Grover Cleveland $1000 bill was worth about $1400 in 1999 when this episode was filmed. Tearing and writing on it would substantially reduce its value, though the two halves could still be redeemed for the face value of $1,000.
