- TriviaIn his apartment, while waiting for Doortje to come home, Pico watches the 1990 FIFA World Cup qualifier Portugal vs Belgium played at the Stadio da Luz in Lisbon. A 1-1 draw on 15 February 1989, legendary Belgian commentator Rik de Saedeleer lists some players eg Portuguese defender and captain Joao [Domingos da Silva] Pinto and Belgians Vincenzo Scifo and Marc Degryse.
- GoofsWhat occurred more often, also happens here. The 1988 song "Alles kan een mens gelukkig maken" by René Froger and Het Goede Doel is announced by radio host Marc as if it were only performed by Froger. The pop song is a collaboration between Froger and the Dutch band. Perhaps they were not mentioned because Froger provided vocals and they provided the music and lyrics.
- Quotes
Pascale: [arguing about Doortje staying over at their place] Oscar, I know what you're going to say. I always know what you're going to say.
Oscar: Then why should I say it, if you know what I'm going to say?
Pascale: Because I always hope that you're not going to say what I think you're going to say.
Oscar: If you hope I won't say the things I have to say, why do you always do stuff which makes me say the things I have to say, though I'd rather not say them?
Pascale: Oscar, are you going to say what you have to say or what?
Oscar: Doortje can't stay here.
Pascale: I knew you'd say that.
Oscar: What if all players' wives invaded the house, like her?
Pascale: Then she would at least have something to say.
Oscar: Oh, so you have the higher ground again... Who's got something to say here, actually?
Pascale: Oscar, whenever you've got something to say, just come out and say it.

- Crazy credits"THE ORIGINALS" message appears in a framework at the start of each intro with theme song from De nieuwe truitjes (1990) to Love Story (1993), to honor the titles with Carry Goossens (Oscar) in the lead and Walter Michiels (Pico) co-starring. This has been the case for all re-runs and DVD and Blue-ray releases since the 2010s.
