Storyline
Did you know
- GoofsGeneral Strommberger, in charge of a Panzer division, asks the prisoners to clear the roads of snow for his tanks. Tanks are tracked vehicles designed to travel through deep snow, mud and even moderately large trees. Shoveling the snow for tanks would be a waste of time.
- Crazy creditsThe opening credits end with a daylight shot of the gates with the guards walking in a snowstorm instead of the usual night shot of a guard with a dog walking behind the gates.
Featured review
A lot of useless scenes in this offering.
It's cold and snowy at our favorite prison camp and Klink and Schultz have a cold. But when General Strommberger, in charge of a panzer division, wants some of the prisoners to clear the road so his units can move toward the Allies. Hogan volunteers his unit. But not for the main purpose of clearing the road but to make sure the road stays blocked.
This story just was not that interesting. There is not much going on and some of the situations are really useless to the plot. It appeared that they had to add scenes during the show to make the episode fill the allotted time. For example there is one scene that involves a truck that blows up due to dynamite. It was useless and had nothing to do with the story-- It just killed some time. And then the scene where Hogan and his men play musical instruments-- again useless to the story.
This episode was disappointing in many ways. But the main way is that it just was not entertaining. This episode needed a rewrite.
