- TriviaThe "DF box" in the Allied plane that crashes just outside of Stalag 13, which homed in on signals from two clandestine radio stations (providing a navigational fix where the beams cross) is similar in its operational details to a radio navigation system known as Knickebein ("crooked leg"), used by the Luftwaffe for guiding night bombing raids during the early phases of the Battle of Britain.
- GoofsThe bombers shown flying over the stalag in the stock footage were B-17 Flying Fortresses. However, the wreckage shown of the crashed bomber was from a B-25 Mitchell bomber.

A new Allied radar must not fall into German hands.
When an Allied plane is shot down near the prison camp, Hogan learns that the plane was carrying a new type of radar. Since the plane did not burn, the German will get the new radar and be able to jam most transmissions.
The Germans send Doctor Wolfgang Becker, a brilliant specialist in electronics, to the wreck site to inspect the plane. Sure enough he finds the radar and has packaged it for a trip to Berlin to be studied.
While reading the Becker's file, the only vice the man has is he is a constant gambler. And with the disguise of making money for the German winter clothing drive, Hogan gets Klink to open a casino type gambling club that will serve as a platform for Hogan to stop the shipment of the radar to Berlin.
With so many scripts being repeated, it was nice to see a fresh story added to the series. It may have been far-fetched but at least we are getting new concept to enjoy. Giving this an extra star just for the effort.
