Featured review
Hogan tells the Germans about the Noden secrets.
When Klink bugs Hogan's quarters, the heroes notice the microphones at first glance. This sets up a situation where Hogan is going to feed Klink information about working on the Norden in his younger days in the Air Force. Klink and the rest of the Germans believe that Norden is the bomb-sight that the Allies tested new bombing accuracy devices. When Klink calls General Burkhalter with the news, Burkhalter wants to make life comfortable for Hogan so that he will be willing to talk about his time at the Norden bomb-sight.
All this creates a diversion where Hogan needs to get information to an underground agent. With the help of Burkhalter and Klink. Hogan is able to complete his assignment and also tell them somethings about the Norden.
As the first regular episode to feature General Burkhalter as the leader of the Luftwaffe prison camps, the viewer can already see that there are going to be many good times and comedy lines coming from the Burkhalter/Klink relationship. It will always be a humorous time when Leon Askin, with his deep Austrian accent, portrays the larger General Burkhalter that has more disdain for Klink than respect. And this episode starts the journey as Burkhalter delivers some nice lines to Klink to make the show enjoyable. This episode had a nice script that was well received. Good watch.
