Featured review
One of the saddest
Sparta has hired a new and black female officer Sheryl Lynn Piland and the mostly male Sparta police force kind of adopts her especially the chief. At the same time the force is after some drug smugglers and pushers. These are a
heavily armed gang who have automatic weapons. It's a recipe for disaster and a tragedy.
Carroll O'Connor has some of his finest acting moments in the history of In The Heat Of The Night with Ms. Piland's death in the line of duty. This one is not to be missed by fans of the series.
