The gals spend a night in a singles bar called The Calico Caboose. Eventually Sonny, Nancy and Howard end up joining them.
Their original plan was to dine at Willie Wong's China Palace. There is mention of Dot using shrimp heads as finger puppets which we heard about in last season's "Gender Gap" episode - kudos for continuity - or the writers just thought it was a joke worth repeating.
The gals are all lookin' for some hot stuff baby - except for Jan who's only there to chaperone Amy, who immediately sets her sights on a hulking Rambo type.
Dot hits it off with "her future husband" played by Jonathan Frakes, but not before she embarrasses the girls - and amuses us - by acting out a funny mating dance.
Jan ends up being stuck with a depressed, sad sack (Charles Fleischer) and Ginger meets a rich lawyer who plainly admits he is a material guy.
Howard shows up with a woman named Hildy and the girls try and keep she and Nancy apart.
This is a nice change-of-pace episode that mostly takes place in a single location outside the restaurant. This plays like a 20-minute condensed LOVE BOAT episode in some ways and is one of the better Season 4 offerings.
