Barto has more pressing study occupations for about eight years. Elisa proves less tidy then unamused bachelor boy Mikey; Jack suggests a chores list; Elisa complains to Jill that Mikey eats much of her food and is a culinary ignoramus. Jack reads in Jill's diary; Barto isn't prepared to break the boys' code by keeping quiet about it. Dan promises Audrey a great career, but in L.A. Barto's professor Dr. Madison says he has a shot at a priceless research fellowship at Dukes in North Carolina if his grades keep up, according to Mikey three months separation is reason enough to break up with Audrey. Jack spoils Jill in bed and then asks him right there about his ex Becky Heart, he guesses she read his journal, he walks out, she gives him her diary before her move to New York, he's not really interested in that girlish stuff. Elisa calls a forum, Mikey was about to too, but to no avail; he suggests advertising for a housekeeper at $45 a week, candidates prove weirdos, except- his ex Belinda. Barto and Audrey expect each-other to move after the good results they expect. Jack 'proves being wild' by suggesting to have sex on a train, then returns Jill's key 'until I earn it'. Barto and his study mate Anna aced their exams, Audrey gets the movie part.
