Briscoe and Green are investigating the murder of a woman who may have been dealing Ecstasy. They think her murder may have been the result of a dispute with her supplier, but they don't have any evidence against the supplier. They do accumulate overwhelming evidence that the supplier killed someone else in the Bronx a few years earlier, but someone had been convicted of that earlier murder, so they must prove that the Bronx police and D.A.'s case was flawed.
