- Quotes
Mr. Schuster: You know something? You're not dumb. You're stupid, and I'll have your job.
Dick Elmore: Excuse me sir.
[Goes to police car and spreads peanut butter on the man's driver license and then eats it]
Mr. Schuster: Wait a minute- that's my license! That's my license! What is this?
Dick Elmore: Sign here please. It's not an admission of guilt. I added driving without a license. Now you be sure to tell all your big shot friends downtown that I put peanut butter on your driver's license and ate it. Do that, will you? Have a good day, sir.
David Groh and Don Meredith play two police officers, Dick and John. The pair are street patrol officers and eventually they investigate a hit and run. But it was no accident and it appears that it was deliberate....as the woman was drug for a long distance to her death. However, the detectives investigating just think it's another hit and run....so Dick and John spend whatever time they have following up leads and eventually confronting the killer.
This is an okay episode but they try way too hard to make these two cops quirky and fun....and in the process they are ridiculous. Not one of the better episodes as a result.
By the way, if you care, Don Meredith also played two other characters on the show and in total was in eight episodes.
