The reason I give this a 10 is because it's the perfect cross section of this entire show. Stupid monologues, low-ball sleazy defense tactics, the prosecution losing their minds, the judge straight up not giving a toss, and I have no idea if any of it is legal or realistic. Every single piece of absurdity I've come across in this show is on full display here and it's hilarious. The ending, where the judge is just like "I probably could've handled that better, maybe I should quit," and Bobby and Helen are just eating fries in jail, was the icing on the cake. What an incredible piece of television. They don't do it like this anymore.

I guess there is a reason for this episode. It shows a trial at its absolute worst. A man gets away with stabbing another man seven times. The trial is full of yelling and misdirection. It was ugliness. The judge was too permissive at one time and reactionary the next. I know this is TV because it was so far beyond believability that I fast forwarded to the verdict. I would hope that Helen, as one who nearly was strangled during the trial by the defendant, could bring charges of felony battery against him. He did it in front of about a hundred people.
