First time we see Jim's cat named "Valentino", who's mentioned in To Protect and Serve: Part 2 (1977) (it's actually a neighbor's cat).
When the delivery man (from 'Lorry Express' - 'Lorry being a British English word for 'truck') shows up at Jim's trailer, he tells (the REAL) Rockford he's got a bunch of stuff for him - from 'Scotland Yard (of 'London... Illinois') including a 'Naguchi XL 1500 Forensic Medicine Console.' This is a nod to the L.A. county coroner, Thomas Naguchi.
The interior of the Steel home along with the backyard pool is the same one used in the 5th season episode, The Battle-Ax and the Exploding Cigar (1979).
Season starts with a new Firebird for JIm (updated model with four headlights instead of two) - and it's wrecked before Jim can even drive it. Also Rocky has a new truck as the interior is now red with a different style headliner.
When the delivery man is dropping off packages for the fake Rockford , the address on the packages is '234 Ocean Blvd., Paradise Cove, Cal., 92416'. In the next scene, when Jim goes to the Steel residence and speaks with Ms. Steel, the address on his business card is '29 Cove Road, Malibu, Calif, 90403.'
