The last two scenes -- filmed on location -- were shot in reverse order.
As the series filmed these in late-spring/summer, the sun causes longer shadows in the early morning, and late afternoon. Shorter shadows mean it was mid-day, and the sun was overhead.
When Althea (Mariette Hartley) asks Jim (James Garner) if she can ''stay for the weekend", and they start to kiss, their shadows are short -- meaning the sun's more-or-less directly overhead, (i.e., mid-day). However, when the kiss ends, their shadows are much longer--pointing in a south-west direction (meaning early morning, in southern California.) If it were late afternoon, the sun would be lower in the Pacific, and the shadows would've been pointing more easterly.

After Jim crashes his Firebird into the guard hut, a man says, "That's what happens when you crash a 5,000-pound Firebird into a building." The Firebird actually weighs around 3,260 pounds.
For comparison, a Cadillac DeVille, the largest Cadillac model weighs 5,150 pounds.

One of C.C.'s tape recordings plays the sound of Rockford's trailer being blown up by three sticks of dynamite. If this had really happened, Jim would had to have purchased a new trailer.
After Angel (Stuart Margolin) gives his 'Sierra Madre' speech, Jim and Althea leave his trailer. When they close the trailer's door, they can be seen walking towards (what would be) the beach, but, for a brief moment, Jim's shadow can be seen, falling on the backdrop, used to represent the parking lot.
Rockford (James Garner) talks to Roscoe Ragman (Peter Brocco) in his hospital room. The three orderly's jump into the room and Rockford runs into the bathroom and the next scene has him running down the hospital corridor. Bathrooms in hospital rooms only have one door.
When Jim runs into the staircase at the nursing home and the goons run up to the door the shadow of equipment is seen on the door.
